    It appears some cats cant have salt and some can handle it so someone with more knowledge might need to weight in.

    Aquarium salt will work if you dont have live plants. I believe Corey says he uses 1 tablespooon of aquarium salt per gallon to start with then has increased to 2 per gallon. I would slowly add that over the course of a couple hours and increase heat to 85.

    I am a native east tennessean. Live outside knoxville. Have 8 tanks mostly doing live bearers and low tech plants.

    Are you using fertilizer? If you are you are adding in nitrates. I only use fertilizer of nitrates are below 40 ppm.

    I honestly find live plants to be easier than fish. Get a half decent led light and some crypts and watch the magic. I bought the light on this tank for about 20 dollars on Amazon it's a hyggr or something like that.

    I think a pair of angels and about 4 rams with plenty of line of sight breaks would be good but that about as far as I'd go with those type fish. You could easily add mollies or platies and Cory's to make it fill more full. I'm also really digging black skirt tera schools

    I have runners coming out of my swords that are over 4 foot long. Should I just keep letting them run?

    It could actually be a tapeworm coming out. I would definitely treat for parasites if it was my fish.

    If I understand correctly apple snails are banned in many states due to their invasive nature.

    They do very much reassemble that species but I do not see any with the dark belly mine has. It's almost black with a hint of blue in it. I believe that to be the male as the other is much less colored. I'm attaching more pictures I'd really like to figure it out.

    If this is a hob filter I'd just make my own. They are much better and cheaper in the long run

    If ur only removing water and not gravel vac it place a bit of sponge in a gravel vac.

    I believe as long as you bare up front about them being untreated that's best let's the end user make the call in what they want.

    I have treated at 1 tablespoon per 10 gallons with no noticed effect. Anything above that I'd be careful.

    I believe carbon would remove all the dye. Some cut ur own carbon mats might be a worthwhile investment to have on hand. I don't always run carbon but it does a wonderful job making the water sparkle
