  1. Most gorgeous voice, singing very intense song, this is my all time favorite. It would give Buddha the chills.
  2. I've made the mistake of using too much superglue and when it dries out, it's bright white and ugly. I'm going to try out the method Guppysnail mentioned. I've been gluing mine out of water and using too much glue. I'd love to get the technique down so it looks more natural.
  3. Well, I never saw anything like that before. Interesting! I don't like racing much but I have a HUGE soft spot for old pickups and 70's muscle cars. I owned a 1972 Chevy Malibu in gold/burnt orange color ... Like this I noticed some of the entries were more aerodynamic than others. I liked the cars that went all-out the best.
  4. @Shadow I agree, just perfect. Perfect lyrics and so heartfelt. I can feel it in my soul. So glad Eddie's voice evolved to better enunciate. That was my only complaint of early PJ; my old 70s "live concert ears" strained until I memorized all the words, of course. Loved their MTV Unplugged video.
  5. Oh, yes, now that you mention it, "Into the Wild" greatly affected me, as well. Eddie Vedder did the soundtrack and he's my "main man". It all just fit together perfect and broke many of our hearts. 💔
  6. I watched Leave the World Behind on Netflix. It may not have changed my life, per se, but it scared the pee-doodle out of me. After the movie, I sat for an hour worrying if we'd even make it to the end of this year. I suggest something more cheerful to end 2023 with. God bless us all!
  7. Is this an opening for us all to tell the dumbest aquatic mistake we ever made? BTW, there are no "idiots", only students.😆
  8. Welcome, Bill. I agree with @Guppysnail all except I like Charley the best. I'm a huge dog fan, but the cup's cool too. Your tanks look great. Have fun with the forum, it's been a life saver for me. 😃
  9. We have these huge stores that open only during the holidays, where you can shop for Christmas lights, wrapping paper, bows, etc. We have parades in almost every city. Whole neighborhoods decorate and people drive through at night to see the lights. Very festive!
  10. Very informative video, thanks 😊
  11. I feel so much better, now. I kept picturing 20 gallons of water leaking onto my carpet. I'll sleep easy tonight. 😄
  12. I definitely did not know this fact, though when I think of it, sounds like a much safer way to build aquarium corners, 2 layers, not just 1. Good to know. 😉 I'm not going to fix my tear, just baby it. Thanks
  13. Picture of a Tiger Lily or my Betta? You be the judge.
  14. Thank you all SO much. 😃 I wish I'd been a co-op member when I started my hobby 5 years ago. You guys could have helped me in my struggles, but I'm a member now and feel fortunate. I could not find a better bunch of enthusiasts, anywhere. You all ROCK!
  15. I have a healthy, well seasoned tank with a small section of silicone slightly torn. The tear is 4 inches below the water line. I just can't start over with a new tank; I've worked so hard. My LFS (not a big box store, but employees who know aquatics) told me to remove enough water to get below the tear, dry area, repair with silicone and let it sit for 48 hrs before filling back up. I am concerned about my HOB filter losing the good BB. Was told to sit filter on bottom of tank during the repair. I just want a second opinion on this plan.
  16. I learned a new word, cool. Growing up in Texas, we don't ski much here. 🤣 We do, however, have dirt piles or hills that you can slide down on a piece of cardboard. Yee haw!
  17. You take awesome pictures! 👌 I love your dog; is it male or female? I also enjoy reading your posts. I'm so sorry to hear about your accident. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
  18. Oh, I understand now. I hope your fish fully recovers and that you face no more spikes. @JillianGarcia05
  19. I need some clarification. Why would someone recommend using medicine, Maracyn, after an ammonia spike?
  20. I have a 20H and struggled with stem plants, so it's finally become an "easy as you can get" low/mid light tank with 2 kinds of Crypts and a Tiger Lily that grows non-stop. My dwarf Pleco and Betta loves their Crypt Forest. Crypts grow fairly slowly but it can be almost like a carpet plant in that you can form a dense mass using root tabs and some time. I plan on adding something taller in the back corner.
  21. Welcome to the forum, @Kaiju It's especially fun to mingle with the wonderful, knowledgeable, eclectic people on here. 🙂
  22. Welcome to the forum! The best place for anything one needs to know about our hobby. 😀 I'm from DFW and I have a community tank plus a female Betta, in case you have questions. Have fun!
  23. Don't even consider a Betta sorority. I tried and the females almost killed each other. I re-homed all but one. Keep one Betta (male or female) with compatible community fish. How many fish depends on the size of your tank. Bettas need nice clean water to be healthy. Nipped fins are bad news for Bettas. They are so personable and fun. I just love my girl, Blue.
  24. Matt, you have such a cute sense of humor. I loved your pictures, too. You made this lady laugh out loud. Thanks, and keep smiling! 😁
