  1. Thanks guys, I guess I’ll just have to keep an on the stores in my area.
  2. Greetings from South NJ. This forum is amazing, usually on social media I make a post or respond to one and no one seems to care or see my opinion, but here lots of people respond to my posts and comments and I feel like I’m actually contributing to a conversation.
  3. Was looking to get another fish tank soon (10 gallon) and was thinking of the dollar per gallon sales pet I has. Does anybody have a calendar or know the dates of these sales? Thanks, Jack
  4. The stocking seems pretty good for now, I’m not sure how big all those fish get but if they get big you may have to rehome them or commit and get a bigger tank.
  5. Lol, they definitely look like yoyo loaches, if they left they rabbit snail alone then it could work with the mystery snails, but I guess it 50/50.
  6. I’m not sure how or if you can put root tabs in, but you could get plants that feed off the water column like Java fern and just use some liquid fertilizer.
  7. That’s pretty funny but kinda creepy that they’re tracking you, maybe look into a vpn or ad blocker.
  8. That’d be great, I could have a breeding and and just keep adding more in if they get eaten. 😂
  9. It was a tough decision between yoyo loaches and shrimp, but I can also put some shrimp in another tank.
  10. @Minanora Friday I added a couple plants (ones a Cryptocoryne, the other a rotala) new sand substrate with fluval stratum underneath, some new hard scape, and 5 little yo-yo loaches (I know they get big but I heard they grow extremely slow). I would like to get get some java fern, some more Cryptocorynes and a pleco next time. Also, do you think I have a neon tetra or cardinal tetra?
  11. Thanks for the help guys, I ended up getting 5 Yo-yo loaches. They are about 1in right now, I want to get a bigger tank in a few months (maybe a 40 gallon) so if they get too big I could put them in there. Also my LFS didn’t have any dwarf chain loaches or kuhli loaches in stock.
  12. Hopefully I get lucky, if I really wanted them I could probably get on a waiting list.
  13. @KBOzzie59I’d still consider them as a pretty good option, maybe I could try some larger snails. @modified lungThose guys would be a great option, like you said they could be hard to find but I’ll see what my LFS has to offer.
  14. @ColuI guess I’ll just have to hope mine stay small if I get them, I could always give them back to my LFS if they do get too big.
  15. @KBOzzie59the yo-yo looks pretty good, are they friendly with shrimp?
  16. Hi, I have a 15g Fluval Flex and am very interested in loaches, I know of the kuhli loach, the dwarf chain loach, and the hillstream loach. Are there any other small species that could work in my tank? Thanks, Jack
  17. @Minanora I’ll keep you updated how how the tanks going and what plants I choose. This weekend I’m going to go to the LFS and get my substrate and hard scape. Next week I’ll get the plants and Cory cats. And in 3 weeks I’ll get the first batch of tetras, I’ll get the second batch the next week. If everything goes as planned it should be great.
  18. I think @drewzero1 and @Minanora are right, I need to skip the white clouds, and add fish slowly overtime. The skirt tetras may be a bit big for this aquarium but I got them back when I knew nothing about fish keeping, around 4-5 years ago, so I plan to keep them. With regular water changes and plants I can make this work.
  19. Hi I have a flu Al flex 15 g tank (I neglected it for a while but I’m getting back into the hobby) with 2 white skirt tetras , 1 neon tetra, and a 2-2.5 in green fish with red fins (not sure what it is) I would like to get 4 more white skirt tetras, 5 more neon tetras, a cleanup crew, 6 white cloud minnows, and lots of plants. I am currently using a mixture of sand and fluval stratum for substrate. Will I be able to fit the white cloud minnows? Any substrate suggestions? Any recommendations for cleanup crew? Any plant suggestions? Thanks, Jack
