@Taco Playz If you go the Krib route, might want to try Albinos if you can find them. In my local area, there are several local hobby breeders that constantly have regular Kribs available on FB and Craigslist. They are selling for like a buck a piece. Producing a rarer form might help you find a market easier. Will

I purchased an Coop powerhead to use for water changes. What width of hose do I need for the output side? The info on the website doesn't say and I can't find the livestream when Cory unveiled the product. If I read correctly, I think some of mentioned python tubing will fit? Will

What in the tank are you worried about flow affecting?

Are you using the stock light that came with the flex? Thank you for sharing! It looks great. Definitely gives me some inspiration for my current project!

I just treated myself for Thanksgiving. My local plant guy is having a small Black Friday sale so I supported him and ordered all the beginner plants needed for my first planted tank. He was out of some red plants so I treated myself to some Scarlet Temple & Pink Flamingo Crypts from the COOP. So next week should be a fun week! Plant package... and two packages from the COOP. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Aquarium Co-Op black friday deals??
WillC replied to Taco Playz's topic in Edmonds Washington Retail Store Forum
A sale wasn't mentioned in the last stream. However, Cory & several Coop folks have mentioned in streams over the last year that they are now listing items for the lowest possible price everyday and didn't plan on running sales in the future. -
@WJP This is the post you were looking for. Did you get your account synced?

Looks like all the elbow grease on the free tank was worth it! Gorgeous discus.

Perfect timing. Setting up my first tank in years and I am slowly ordering small batches of products that I will need in the long run. Free shipping and the member discount basically paid for a coop towel! Everything worked fine on my end! Thanks Cory and crew. Will

Is there a recommended minimum distance from the top of a sponge filter to the water line? Will

Light suggestion for Waterbox Clear Mini 30
WillC replied to iRollDetroit's topic in Plants, Algae, and Fertilizers
@iRollDetroit Thanks for the feedback. I am in the process of planning out a 40g breeder. The thought ran across my mind to just do 2 Waterbox Mini Clear 20s on the stand instead of one 40g aqueon. Smaller tanks would be easier for water changes etc... and I am really digging the look of rimless tanks lately. Will -
Light suggestion for Waterbox Clear Mini 30
WillC replied to iRollDetroit's topic in Plants, Algae, and Fertilizers
@iRollDetroit How are you liking the ownership experience of a waterbox minimal tank vs your flex? Will -
George Farmer discussed this experience while he was on Randy's Aquarist Podcast. If you are a fan of this tank, It's worth a listen. Loved hear about the background info on the scape.

Hi Folks, So moving forward to the next step in my tank setup.... I really liked the look of Caribsea in Daniel's experimental nerm tank so I went that direction. Today, I put in 20lbs of Rio Grande gravel & 40lbs of Peace River gravel. My layer is about 1.5". I feel like I need a little more substrate. There are root tabs under the gravel. What depth do others put in their gravel based tanks? Will

Sooo I just went ahead and bought a Fluval 3.0 One step closer to a fully set up tank!

Thanks for the feedback folks! I went with this model. It's the same brand as the wifi plugs that Coop sells sooo I have some reassurance.

I will look again at their site. There isn’t a model etc listed on the light it is long enough for my 40g.

Any recommendations or safety tips to consider while picking a power strip used for aquarium use? It will be stowed away in a cabinet. Will

Does anyone know how I can tell what model my beamworks light is? It came with some equipment I purchased 2nd hand. I am considering using it for the first six months or so for my new tank. Fluval 3.0 is my choice of current market light, but I heard @Corywas working on a light and want to hold off on the fluval just in case. Will the beam works be a good temp light for a lowlight tank until I upgrade?

WillC replied to Waka88's topic in Plants, Algae, and Fertilizers
What larger town are you near in Mass? -
Just put my first HUGE coop order in. It should be everything I need to get the tank's plant population set up. Just need to get plants and hardscape! Will
