  1. @Patrick_G Let me know if you find any. I would really be interested in starting a colony of them.
  2. I would like to have a larger variety of small peaceful south american cichlids. If someone could breed Bolivian rams, apistos, or other cichlids to be smaller I would be able to keep a lot more different kinds. I also think a miniature swordtail would be cool. I have wanted to try to keep them but they are a little to big for my setups.
  3. I think it depends on what you prioritize. If price is more important than viewing time a stock tank would be better. If you really want to interact with you fish both would work fine. if you want to view the fish from a "side" angle then a 90+ gallon would be better. My opinion is that a stock tank would be better, Its cheaper and you can turn it into a pseudo indoor pond; which would be really cool.
  4. @OnlyGenusCaps Thanks for sharing the articles. I get my historical news from Smithsonian, National geographic, History.com, Major news outlets like the ny times can be good. I also enjoy a good podcast every once in a while, two of my favorites are dan carlin and our fake history. There is a great website called Media Bias/Fact Check Heres a link (https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/) They are pretty good at showing how biased and trustworthy news outlets are, and I have found it really handy when looking for historical news sites. I think that it has a lot to do with people reading "headlines" and not diving deeper into understanding a subject. It's hard to talk this subject without getting political so I think that's all I am going to say for now.
  5. Hi, I have some Endlers livebearers. And they are, Incredibly active and food crazy to say the least. I was recently in a fish store and saw some platy's getting fed, they seemed to be pretty calm compared to some other livebearers I have seen. So my question is this, are there any calm livebearers out there? Thanks
  6. My favorites are the Pristella tetras. While they do look somewhat dull, in a planted tank they absolutely shine.
  7. @Stephen ZawackiI have a few Bolivian Ram's and they are absolutely wonderful fish. I think a 20 gallon would be a little on the small side but you could make it work. Something to know is that it is almost impossible to tell the sexes apart. Other than that they are peaceful community fish that have a lot of wonderful personality and behaviors.
  8. I love the mystery snails, I have a selection of different colors and they are absolutely wonderful pets. They have a lot more personality then most snails and are much more active.
  9. I think the smallest might be Endlers ( if you consider them guppies) Or for true guppies the smallest are Panda guppies.
  10. @Alec My first ( and so far only) fish breading experience was with a close relative of the guppy the endlers livebearer. I would suggest that if you live near any fish stores to give them a call, and ask about a aquarium a breeding group of whichever strain of guppy interests you.
  11. @k0olmini I have had a similar delima ot that I cannot successfully keep hardwater fish because my seattle water is so soft. What I usually do is research fish that can live in my water type, then go from there. That way you have fish that are happy, and thriving without having to do to much water modifications. There are so many cool hard water fish out there that are just as interesting as soft water one. Such as south american livebearers, African cichlids, African tetras, and others that can tolerate both hard and soft water. Perhaps it would be interesting to attempt to breed african cichlids, or Congo tetras.
  12. @Stephen Zawacki i think the fluvel flex is a fine choice for any aquarium. Also please follow @Patrick_G's answer for finding older or lost threads.
  13. @BF McUmber After seeing your response I don't think its a neon goby. I know it's a goby just can't tell what type, hope this helps.
  14. @lmhicks101I mean they are considered "pest snails" I have ramshorn snails which are also "pest" ones. If you don't mind the way they look they can be a great clean up crew for your tank. I keep my ramshorns because they are great at eating algae dying plant matter and leftover fish food. It's a personal decision but I would keep them.
  15. @Chlo Is there anyway you could trr uploading the photos again? they aren't displaying on any of my devices.
  16. @Chlo How long have you had the panda cory's for?
  17. It's kind of hard to tell the stiphodon goby's apart. I had a rainbow one and it looked very similar to a lot of other types. @BF McUmber Do the others have any distinctive marking that would indicate this one being a different species.
  18. @Zenzo That's super cool. I myself am not much of a rugby person but I can certainly see the appeal!
  19. Your stocking is perfectly fine, you could actually add a few more cpds if you wanted to.
  20. My city recently got their first hockey team the Krakens, and I love them. I love the logo, the merch, the colors, and the symbols. But I have no idea how hockey works. I've been watching videos explaining it and it's a little confusing. But I enjoy every game day, and I love getting decked out in their merch. Has anyone else had a similar experience in which a sports team that they knew nothin about. Came to their region, and now they can't get enough of em.
