  1. Thanks Cory, I didn’t know if there was such a difference in stock that it warranted me to pitch my current plastic container and start new. I just will have to wait now to experience the great product. Also it is noted you did not do the up sell and had the best interest of your “public” in mind. Thank you. Ted
  2. Ok, the question I need to ask is the Co-op BBS hatch rates far superior to the main brands out there? Looking at pictures it seems dramatically so. I was waiting to purchase the Co-op BBS because I had a "large" container left that I planned to use up before I switched. Now I really question waiting. So what is the verdict? Should I use up what I have or write off the remaining amount. Please share your thoughts? Many thanks, Ted
  3. This might not be a big one for you but it the top purchase for me. The Ziss no clog air stone - not getting any love. I have bought more of them more than anything else.
  4. That is one serious flag pole as well. It makes the Murphy flag look very modest. Still darn cool - I wonder if one ever thought there would be a Murphy Mast!
  5. I am in the same boat with a cool basement. Currently I have been using a tank to heat the water but this is not ideal. I am going to try the metal clip on lamp with a bulb. I let you know how it goes.
  6. I suggest the more cover the better. Any floating plant will help but Java moss and guppy grass clumps will increase your success by 5x. Rock piles also help as well. Check out the coop’s cherry videos.
  7. These are great ideas. The Boston Aquarium is super pricey, but a definite trip for a club.
  8. Crazy right? I know I am putting myself out there with the smartphone punching tiktok consuming generation but I have toyed with idea of starting a high school fish club. This is totally weird right? I am not even a Science teacher. (I teach History) This is what I know. I have a passion for sharing and creating opportunities kids. Our school has TONS of clubs and this would not be shocking but it might be "out" there. I am not even sure what this club would do other than talk fish and all this aquatic. I have some ideas on things to do but I wanted to ask the experts, ya YOU! If this club was actually happening and you were in high school, what would you want to do? The sky is the limit, no idea is too small, none is too large. Share with me your thoughts. I would love to hear what you have to say. Many thanks, Ted K. Information to consider - School location is north of Boston near the coast. There are some local fish groups. Also we are close to many colleges and universities. Power to the shrimp!
  9. Not even a full year into the hobby and I am a full fledged member of the aquatic life. I have experimented with fish several time in my life but never even close to the level I am at now. I have MTS or for those who don’t know multiple tank syndrome. What started as my son’s tank has blown into 15 tank house. 12 of which are located in my basement in a concrete block rack. My current pursuits are Cherry, Blue Dreams, and Bloody Mary shrimp. Also included are two stains of guppies and rice fish. I have two well established planted tanks and tons of Java moss. Would love to make a connection to a local fish store that I could trade with but still working on that. My eco systems and aquatic life give me a sense balance that was lacking for so long. I hope that balance can be a level I maintain. Many thanks Ted K
  10. Had a thriving cherry shrimp colony and for a couple of reasons I had a large die off. This has happen twice and each time I have learned from my mistake. It just takes so much time and I am super discouraged. I need advice on how to get back on the Shrimp boat. Many thanks, Tedrock
