  1. Finished the final coat of paint on the stand of my new (old from Craigslist) 110 gallon acrylic tank. Painted the worn black to a fresh almond! Can't wait to bring it in the house and start giving my community fish an upgrade...love all my fish.
  2. Wow Randy...this is amazing! Thanks for sharing, makes me wish I could buy from the Coop's retail store! I think about that all the time...
  3. Wow! What an editors eye you have!
  4. Hi BAA...I like your vids! What is the Sac Aquarium Society doing during the Covid? Are the meetings online? Maybe post a link...thanks!
  5. Does anyone have experience with keeping these adorable loaches? How many in a 110 gallon, as in a comfortable group? Could these be kept with Corydoras, or in place of them? Are there any aggressive qualities about them? Thank you!
  6. The Coop always rewards the "good" in people...love that!
  7. totally get that concept, and I figured as much. Am enjoying the forum a lot. 🙂
  8. Wow! Quite an assortment! I do want to put a large school of Corys in the 110, I've never seen their behavior in a huge group of around 20.
  9. I have some community fish that deserve an upgrade...Angels, Cupid Cichlids, tetras...nothing super special, but I love giving them a better home. And its fun for me to set up a new tank. 🙂 What tanks do you have?
  10. not bad! as for the fish hobby, I just picked up a 110 gallon acrylic tank and stand for $300! It's in awesome shape too! Had to drive to San jose to get it, but worth the drive!
  11. Welcome! I'm down in the valley...West Sacramento!
  12. Thank you! This solves a lot of problems!!! 🙂
  13. I'm loving this forum! And no matter what ease of use, I'm committed to using this method to interact with the Aquarium/Coop Community. It's super fun. I have tried using it on iPad, iPhone, and MacBook (yeah...I'm an Apple junkie! I always tend to use the computer for ease of use. When I get a notification through my email on the iPhone, I click and follow the link and it works, just now as slick. I know Cory is working on the structure and this is not meant as a negative point, just as a truthful point. I wish I could enter the forum on the phone through an app (not associated with any social media). Any thoughts from other users? Cheers!
  14. I've felt the same way about some tanks I keep. I try to create a masterpiece and then algae ruins it, and it becomes a constant struggle. I have had success with some tanks though focusing on low light plants and going for the "jungle" look. lol Now I just try to do the best I can, and enjoy the fish and their health. Look forward to seeing your posts and maybe folks can help! Nice that you're open to critic! cheers!
  15. Welcome Cindy...you've come to the best place to learn!
  16. Interesting on the pleco size, so does the 2" size create more waste than is beneficial to fight algae, or do they just stop eating algae at the same rate?
  17. Thanks so much for this! Wow...who would have thought the cigarette filters could be useful! amazing...
  18. Yes, the stand was included! Going to repaint the stand and 1-2-3 polish the acrylic to make it good as new! Very few scratches, just micro cleaning scratches...
  19. That is so cool, and I had know idea you can earn like this! Really changes things, makes it accessible for everyone!
  20. Great idea! I'd love a second hand use...is it able to hold Purigen?
  21. Hi everyone, I’m about to scape this 110 gallon I got on Craigslist for $300. I want to use the coop’s sponge filters (one in each corner) and a Ziss in the middle. I was thinking of siliconing Dragon Stone together to make a half circle wall around the sponge filter. Has anyone tried to attach pieces of Dragon stone (or any other stone for that matter) together to create something like this? thanks! Dana PS this was a smokin’ good deal! Very grateful!
