  1. Scoliosis is really common in liverbears I think that's what's causing the hump back I think it would be worthwhile treating with paracleanse as @nabokovfan87suggested you would want to do three full courses of treatment 2 weeks apart so you would treat on week 1 week 3 week 5
  2. How old is the fish when did it first start to develop a bent spine is she eating ok any rapid breathing hanging out near the surface lethargy flashing spitting food out is it still producing fry @FishMama814
  3. It could be a growth or an internal blockage as it's passed some waste that's less likely it could have a bacterial component what I would suggest with some of the symptoms your describing I would quarantine and leave a low dose of Epsom salt in the tank 1 table spoon for 5 gallons for 7days and I would do a course of kanaplex just in case there's a bacterial component
  4. I would treat with medicated flake food you found UV sterilisers stop bacteria from reproducing by breaking the DNA chain of the bacteria in the water column it won't have any effect of bacteria in your substrate or on your hard scrape internal parasites can take months to kill in some cases it's all depends on the type of parasite your dealing
  5. With what your describing with the sunken bellys thinning of some of your white clouds I would still be learning to wards a parasitic infection some types of parasite have started to develop resistance to some medication I think it would be worthwhile treating with anti-parasitic medication with different active ingredient such as fenbendazole or flubendazole I think it would be worthwhile to get some tests done by a vet if your still having issues after treating with flubendazole or fenbendazole
  6. Think my male bristlenose make good parents till the baby's leave there cave then it survival of the fittest
  7. Yes do a 50% water change and then start I dose the tank with kanaplex
  8. Active ingredient in maracyn2 is minocycline that predominantly treats gram negative bacteria and some gram positive API erythromycin predominantly treats gram positive and some gram negative so it won't be as effective when treating epistylis as you have it to hand I would start treating with that and source kanaplex if you can't get maracyn2
  9. I would consider doing@Odd Ducktreatment protocol for parasitic infections that will treat most commonly encountered parasites
  10. Any rapid breathing hanging out near the surface lethargy spitting food out
  11. It's possible the khuli loach dieing was a coincidence it's possible something else is going on with your tank the lump on the apisto being small it could the start a cancerous growth or a benign growth I couldn't rule out a bacterial component Otto's I have very little experience am going to tag @xc10446@xXInkedPhoenixXhas lots of experience with Otto's to see is something that they have come across accidentally tagged x10446 i would suggest getting holed of maracyn2 or kanaplex just in case you need to treat if your in Europe I would get holed of Sera Baktopur direct tables not to be confused with Sera Baktopur has a different active ingredient
  12. Cloudy eye can be caused by a number of things poor water quality bacterial infection or an injury if your water parameters are fine no ammonia nitrite and low nitrate then it's more than likely an injury I couldn't rule out a bacterial infection I would add a low dose of salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallons at that level it shouldn't harm your plants for 7 days if it start to get worse then I would follow up with a course of maracyn2 @xXInkedPhoenixX
  13. Conflicting information on the max size of the African pike some sites say 20in other have 35-40in max size if it closer to 40in I don't think 125 gallon aquarium would be big enough long term I would go with the red atabapo pike cichlids 12-16in max size more manageable in a 125
  14. If it's only the two puffers with spots then I would quarantine then and treat them on there own if any other fish start showing symptoms then I would treat the main tank
  15. It could be an injury to the eye and that's why it's not responding to the antibiotic medication the damage could be permanent or needs more time to heal what I would do is add some aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 3 gallons that will help reduce fluid buildup in the eye if you have live plants I would use a lower dose of salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallons for a week @BeeGryphon
  16. Given the progression of the Illness i think the chance of her lasting for another two weeks is low fingers crossed if she gets worse and you think she suffering then I would humanely euthanize her with clove oil
  17. Little more information would be helpful what are your water parameters ammonia nitrite nitrate pH KH GH temperature when did you you Frist notice the white lump is it eating ok any rapid breathing lethargy @Goshfush
  18. If you can get metrocleanse that's praziquantel and metronidazole I would order that and dose the tank if she not eating
  19. That looks like epistylis it feed off of gram negative bacteria on the slime coat of your fish and spreads more quickly at higher temperatures the best treatment is a combination of maracyn2 in food feeding a small amount twice a day for 7 days and aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 3 gallons I wouldn't get above that level with puffers if its not eating dose the tank with maracyn2 @Menono
  20. Symptoms associated with dropsy such as pineconing can be caused by a number of such as organ failure internal bacterial infections and parasitic infections it's a difficult one to treat without the medication I recommended
  21. Just gravel vac were you can I would do a minimum of 4 course of expel p one week apart when treating camallanus worms
  22. It's a difficult one with the symptoms your describing I would usually recommend treating with metroplex in food and a broad spectrum antibiotic treatment maracyn2 with the salt as you don't have access to these medication what I would do is keep the salt at 1 table spoon for 2 gallons that will help reduce the fluid buildup causing the pineconing I would add more Indian almond leaves you might have to add 1 leaf per gallon to get a beneficial effect you could see a vet to see if you can get some medication such as metronidazole and minocycline @velidae
  23. I think it's just needs time to properly acclimate to it's surrounding as long as it's eating I would just monitor for now
