  1. Thanks so much @ColuI will do that and let you know how the fish goes!
  2. Thank you all so much for your answers! @Colu @xXInkedPhoenixX @jwcarlson @nabokovfan87 I’ve been keeping an eye it’s not getting worse or better car this stage though I did see some stuff get bigger, come out of it and now it’s like it was in the picture again. I’m in Australia and getting good meds here is very hard. I did manage to get my hands on a lil bit of Kanamycin should I use it in the water? I’ll start doing more regular water changes for a bit I’ve been doing fortnightly but I can do weekly would it help? Thanks for easing my mind about the otos too!!!!
  3. Hello @Colu thanks for your reply and sorry for the late reply and lack of information I was in such a rush when I wrote this! The GH is 7, PH is around 7.2 and am. 0 ni: 0 and Na: 10 The tank is 125 litres which I think is around 30 gallons. The KH I haven’t tested for a while but we have pretty soft water last time I checked around 3. The Oto is eating and acting completely normal but the white thing is the same. I did put some broad spectrum remody in the tank which is malachite green based. It’s not getting worse or better. One thing I noticed is that one of my otocinclus has very pitted nostrils lately (photo added). The others are fine. A very nice big fat 3 year old Kuhli loach died suddenly too so it’s a bit mysterious…
  4. Hello! I have an apisto with this white bump coming out from under one scale. Has anyone seen this before and know what it might be?
  5. Hi @Colu I thought I would give an update and see what you think! So I treated with Kanaplex and a malachite green fungal treatment and aquarium salt for a couple of days. There wasn’t much improvement I did a water change and re-dosed I also added metroplex. The lump behind the dorsal fin has now shrunk a lot (yay!) but the fish has now developed a few smaller ones. I’m at a bit of a loss! Could it be a parasite? I can’t seem to find anything online that looks like it!! The photos look a bit green but the spots are actually a blood red. Thanks so much for taking the time!!!
  6. Hi @Colu Thanks so much! Hopefully that is all it is and can heal. I have some aquarium salt and home so I add it in now and the kanaplex is in already. I’ll keep you posted and thanks so much for your response! I really appreciate that you take the time.
  7. Hello, i purchased a batch of 5 Corydoras a few weeks ago. One of them had frayed fins when I got them but I assumed it was because they were in with some barbs at the aquarium stores. The fins haven’t got worse or better but I thought they just need time to grow back. Now I’ve noticed that behind one of the fins is this like bright red “bubble” ulcer thing behind the dorsal fin. There is also some redness under one of the pectoral fins and another lil ulcer thing on the pectoral fin. The fish is also no longer active and I’m not sure if it is eating. The other Cory’s all look perfect. I put it into a small quarantine tank and put some kanaplex in but I don’t know whether it’s the right thing. I tried to give it some repashy today but so far it’s just sitting in the same spot ignoring the food. I thought maybe it is Septicemia but all the photos I have seen online I haven’t seen the bubble like ulcer thing. Can you help? Thanks so much for any ideas in advance. tank parameters (before the move to quarantine) Amm: 0 ni: 0 na: 5 GH:7 temp: 26
  8. Hi Colu thanks so much for that I have just set up the quarantine and will do this I really appreciate your help
  9. Hi Colu thanks so much for that i forgot to mention I’m in Australia and we don’t have access to kanaplex here but we do have access to tetracycline for fish. Do you think I could do the same with that?
  10. Hello does anyone know what this red lump around the spine of my glass catfish is? Has anyone seen this before? Am; 0 Ni;0 Na; 5-10 PH; 7 tank is about 3 years old and all other fish are fine. I haven’t added any new fish for 6 months. Apart from the lump the body of the fish is getting a lil cloudy. And there is a small white lump on top of the fish. At this point it seems active and eating. Anyone know what I should do to help this fish?
  11. Thanks heaps Colu I shall try to get some!
  12. Thanks so much for replying Colu, The little fella passed away overnight. Do you recommend I continue treating the whole tank for a bit now that he is gone in case the disease is still in the tank or stop? The others all look fine.
  13. Aww I’m sorry about that hope your other fish get better soon.
  14. I have a loach currently with something similar and have lost a loach before with the same type of lesion on the belly as what I can see on yours. I think it might be bacterial like columnaris or something but not 100 percent sure. I’d really like to know too. How is he going now?
  15. Hi guys, thanks in advance for your help. My Kuhli loach has blisters, lumps and legions all over its body. This has progressed over a couple of weeks and I think the only reason it is still alive is because I have been dosing the tank with tri sulpha tablets and broad spectrum remedy (I’m in Australia so we don’t have access to the same fish meds) . All the other fish in the tank look healthy and fine including the other loach. I suspect it’s columnaris as about 6 months ago I lost a loach with some lesions on its belly and a few months ago some of my rasboras had some saddleback type white stuff which I treated and is all better now. Is there anything else I can do for this fish? It’s holding on but I feel very sorry for it it’s mostly just staying still and breathes heavily. I don’t know what to do. The tank is a 70 Litre planted tank, ammonia : 0 nitrites 0 nitrates are 5 and PH is about 6.8-7.0 Gh 7. Any advice would be appreciated. Also the clamped fins are not new the fish already had them when I got it over a year ago
