    big cup or scoop, and gently set it in the tank. as mentioned above, remove some water, dont want the water raising over the rim as you add gravel.

    well, there's a few ways to go. that is a good amount of fish in a 10gal tank. if you can maintain water quality as it is you dont really need anything additional. having said that, another filter of any type will give more area for beneficial bacteria, and promote some more water flow. now here's what id really recommend. watch for a dollar a gallon sale, and snag yourself a 20gal tank when you can, keeping the 10 for a backup or QT tank.

    if they are eager eaters, they are likely fine. they do like to be in larger groups, and will probably be much more active in the tank with more friends in the tank.

    yes. you just went up 30% in tank size, another handful of chili's wont even be noticeable.

    i trust no electronics. have a thermometer in/on your tank, especially if using a heater, anybody's heater.

    soak it until it quits floating. every piece of wood will be different in how long it takes to get water logged.

    in my travels around this planet, ive noticed street food is always great when large amounts of alcohol have been indulged.😈

    since it is a new tank, when you start stocking it, sneak up on the amount of fish. many variables in stocked vs overstocked. what it really comes down to is the level of tank maintenance required. the more fish= the more frequent the maintenance will be needed.

    that or they make special grease for water valve washers/faucets.

    o rings are a good call. no way to know how old or how theyve been treated. wipe it out good like the others said, and i would stick the inlet and outlet into a 5 gallon bucket filled with warm water mixed with some vinegar, and let it run for an hour or three.

    its all dependent on the individual betta. some are fine with other fish, others are not.
