  1. I've never witnessed amano shrimp do anything remotely aggressive.
  2. Aquaclear 20 or the nano HOB Aquarium coop sells are both pretty quiet in my experience: https://www.aquariumcoop.com/products/nano-tank-hang-on-back-filter-1
  3. Yes, Amano shrimp are relatively salt tolerant in my experience.
  4. I don't have space for any of these right now or I would get them, so I wouldn't really say they are on a wishlist. They are all animals want to try eventually.
  5. I was also going to recommend the AP150 or AP 300, but they only have one port. You could maybe try the Eheim air400, but I am not sure if it is powerful enough.
  6. -Bala sharks -Gold nugget pleco -Killifish (not sure what types yet) -Longfin white clouds -Beckford's pencilfish -Panther crab -Bamboo shrimp -Cardinal shrimp -Cherry barbs -Checker barbs -Sterbai corys -Dojo Loach -Pictus catfish -Bluefin notho -Betta -Dwarf gourami -Blue gourami -Vampire crab -Thai micro crabs -German black rams -Pygmy corys -Dwarf chain loaches
  7. I just want to note that all goldfish are the same species. There are just different breeds, like dogs or cats.
  8. Vampire shrimp might do okay. They are quite big and reclusive. I don't think any shrimp are perfectly safe with angels though.
  9. Got some photos of baby deer and mama deer. Also some phootage of baby deer.
  10. It actually fell off the wood platform into the water after that.
  11. I usually dose twice a week with your same schedule. I have no issues keeping my nitrates up. Theoretically as long as your nitrates never drop to 0, it shouldn't matter if they are at 5-10ppm or 20ppm. If you do want your nitrates to increase I would dose more often. You could probably add an extra pump or two once a day on the other 5 days of the week and see where things go from there.
  12. @Chick-In-Of-TheSeaThose are some cute snails. I may need to get some for my paludarium.
  13. @Root Thanks for sharing! I love those butterflies, the toad and the baby/dwarf crayfish so much. What is that big yellow thing in the water?
  14. I've had success with Maracyn, Maracyn 2 and API fin and body cure. I know that most fin rot cases are caused by gram negative bacteria, so it makes the most logical sense to use an antibiotic like maracyn 2 (this is also what Fritz recommended when I contact them). However, aquarium coop recommends Maracyn and it seems to work in my experience, so that is my go to (even though it makes NO logical sense). This article may help for reference https://www.aquariumcoop.com/blogs/aquarium/fin-rot
  15. Anyone take a bunch of photos and vidoes of animals, but not know where to share them? Well I do, so I'm starting this thread. I would love to see everyone else's non-pet animal photos too.
  16. I can usually fix this by cleaning off the top of the diffuser, emptying it of water and then reconnecting it + securing it with zip ties. However, I've had to replace the diffuser to get it to stop before. Not sure exactly why it happens.
  17. Mine SAEs also like to school with my roseline sharks. They don't really eat algae off of glass in my experience, but may nibble on other algaes.
  18. It was Morti, short for Mortimer. Apparently In the Middle Ages, the Mortimers became a powerful dynasty of Marcher Lords (nobles appointed by the king of England to guard the border) in the Welsh Marches. I didn't know that explicitly, but I was going for a nobility vibe with the name. My partner already named the new crayfish Blueberry.
