My green tiger barb has been very bloated for the past week or so and i dont know what to do my friends are telling me that i might have to be ready for it to die but i dont want that to happen.My theory is that it has been eating my sand substrate.i feed once a day and a very good amount for everyone.Any tips or ideas would be great thank you

Struggling with plant, light and algae.

I had the same problem but i think it might have something to do with the amount of nutrients in the water because from what ive heard light plus excess nutrients will create algae problems.Maybe lower the amount of feeding for the fish im not sure but you can try. -
Hello today i ordered a crytocoryne wedntii from aquarium co op and i had some questions about its care.my first question was if it is recommended to cut off all the leaves because ive heard they tend to melt when they are newly planted.And my second question was if it would regrow if i cut it because im worried it might not grow back.

Hello everyone today i decided to buy a fluval 207 canister filter and i had some questions about it.I currently have a hang on back and a sponge filter in my 37 gallon aquarium but my hang on back isn’t working that well anymore.my question was if i could completely take off the hang on back and throw away its media or do i have to put the filter media in the new canister filter.

Hi thanks for the advice the only fish i have in the tank is 3 angels,3 otocinclus,and one gourami.I assumed it was the angelfish because ive seen two of them fight in a wierd way.Almost like a betta flaring but except these guys bite eachother.like you suggested i will continue to monitor them and if i see more aggression i will take the gourami out.once again thank you

Hello everyone today i decided to turn on my aquarium lights and found that my gourami was hurt from the side of the body.I believe it was one of my angelfish that did it because he didnt have it before.I just want to know if it is dangerous for him or if i need to act now.ive heard that angelfish and gouramis can be feisty and aggressive but i dont want my fish to be in danger.if anyone has any advice or instructions on what to do i would really appreciate them thank you

Nope i used the instructions that were on the packet and it said to leave it on the top of the substrate -
About 2 months ago i bought a dwarf aquarium lily bulb and it has been going crazy except that it only made lily pads and never made any leaves.My 2 problems are that it wont make any leaves at all and my other problem is that i was getting annoyed of all the lily pads roting so i cut all of them of and they havent grown back.if anyone has any experience with this plant i would appreciate some tips thank you

Hello everyone so i started using easy green and my plants started growing decently but they have grown lots and lots of hair algae on the leaves,glass,and filter.I saw somewhere that sychem flourish kills algae so i was thinking if i could use easy green one week then sychem flourish to kill the algae and then easy green again.I dont really know if it makes sense but its just an idea thank you

Also i was doing some cleaning with chemicals so i cant really flip him around today would it be fine tomorrow?or do i have to do it immediately

Last time my other snail smelled bad thats why i threw him but this time i havent checked.i saw somewhere that they hibernated sometimes but im not sure and also i didn’t understand the foot thing

He or she has been there for like 2 hours now and hasnt moved at all this happened a couple of months ago with another one of nerites but i presumed him dead

Hi yesterday i got my order of aquarium co op easy green and my question was if i needed a test kit or not.Near my area its kind of difficult to find a pet store but i was wondering if anyone knew a way to dose my aquarium without actually putting my fish or anything in danger.

How to grow green algae on rocks

I just want it be green or at least with some green spots -
This may sound wierd but i need help with growing green algae on rocks.I think this would give my aquarium a more natural look I had an idea but i dont know if it will work.i think that if i grab a rock and put it in a container with water with direct sunlight it will grow algae on the rock but im not sure.

Does anyone know a way to clean all those white marks from aquarium lights?I think they have actually lowered the light intensity by a lot.I saw a video about this but they used dish soap and im pretty sure thats not aquarium safe.
