ErinV Posted July 18, 2021 Share Posted July 18, 2021 I am pretty much eye level with my new 90g set up and I can only rearrange plants and such with the tank half empty. I am getting close to being able to add fish. Question: how do I add root tabs or work on plants without having to do a 50% water change? There's a really cool article by Bill Smith on here for a root tab tool. xXInkedPhoenixX Posted July 18, 2021 Share Posted July 18, 2021 I'm tall and even I sometimes have issues with my 20 gallon tall tanks so I can see where someone who doesn't have super long arms like me would run into issues. I concur with both @Guppysnail and @Daniel aquascaping tools are super, super handy and an absolute must to have. I didn't realize they came so long though Daniel! That's awesome!! lefty o Posted July 18, 2021 Share Posted July 18, 2021 my 120 is on a tall stand, and is a tall and deep tank. i stand on a stool, and just get wet up to my armpits. im sure tongs etc work, but i just make moves etc when im cleaning and already in the tank. At least, that's how I've attacked maintenance on tall tanks with tall stands and my not so tall body. And as @Phantom240 mentions, I have had my wife and my youngest son go into the big aquarium to move hardscape around.
