  1. Dropsy can be caused by a number of things such as organ failure parasitic infections internal bacterial infections the most effective treatment I have found is aquarium salt to help reduce any fluid buildup dose the tank with kanaplex to treat any possible internal bacterial infections and do a course of metroplex in food feeding a small amount twice a day for upto 3 weeks @Bonex
  2. When you think it's got to point were it's got no quality of life and it's suffering that when I would make the decision to humanely euthanize as @Tony s said it's never an easy decision to make
  3. To my eye that looks like a cancerous tumor or benign growth sometimes you can get lumps like this with a bacterial infections I don't think it's something that will respond to medication looking at were it's located I would consider humanely euthanizing it with clove oil
  4. Am not familiar with use of guava or jackfruit leaves I don't think the they would have the same effect as Indian almond leaves
  5. It's becoming more prevalent in hobby
  6. Metronidazole does treat aeromonas that gram negative bacteria you would want to treat with maracyn2 or maracyn in food or dose the tank with kanaplex @Chick-In-Of-TheSea
  7. It can be caused by an injury to the eye when it's only affecting one eye it can Also be caused by a bacterial infections as @Whitecloud09 mentioned I would add a low dose of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 7 gallons at that level it shouldn't harm your plants or shrimp and add some Indian almond leaves as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties you might have to add one leaf per gallon to get a beneficial effect after 5 days if your seeing no change than I would do a course of maracyn2 it's shrimp safe and it also has anti-inflammatory properties
  8. Kanaplex in food isn't very effective in food as very little of the medication is absorbed by the intestinal tract I would use maracyn or maracyn2 in food he's a recipe
  9. It's also possible there were suffering from neon tetra disease that why the neons died and not your other fish
  10. Possible Canal neuromast inflammation that can be caused by a high bacterial count in your water that can cause small raised spots or they can look like a fluffy pimple and you can get discoloration of the head he's some pictures for comparison the recommended treatment is to increase water change and filtration to lower the bacterial count if you have a uv steriliser I would use that for week see if you notice any improvement if he gets worse then I would do a course of kanaplex @Chick-In-Of-TheSea
  11. Dose daily do a 30% water change then redose ick X I would do that for 7 days if your not seeing improvement after the 7 days then i would consider the hydrogen peroxide treatment @Supermassive
  12. Keep treating with bactopur direct gradually lower the salt over next week bactopur might help your angelfish with the red spot issue with it's face you might have to do two full courses of treatment back to back @Nick93
  13. Just keep a close eye of your water parameters and do another water change if needed
  14. How big are the spots are they raised or flat any visible holes or sunken in areas on the head@Chick-In-Of-TheSea
  15. If you have enough medication I would treat them were they are if you don't I would catch them and treat in a smaller tank
  16. The recommended treatment are malachite green active ingredient in ick X or you can do a hydrogen peroxide treatment
  17. I would lower the dose of salt to 1 table spoon for 3 gallons @Ronnie
  18. I would test your ammonia and nitrite just in case you had a spike as that can cause cloudy water it could also be a bacterial bloom or caused by the medication
  19. Could be ich if it is you would want to raise the temperature to 82 that that will spread up the life cycle of the parasite and treat with ick X and aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallons as ich causes massive electrolyte loss and the salt will add back in essential electrolytes ich can cause flashing as it irritates the Gills you want to treat for three days after you see the last spots @buildingaqua
  20. Picture quality not the best I can't tell what's going on they could just be full of eggs what are your water parameters ammonia nitrite nitrate pH KH GH temperature and have you noticed any pineconing of the scales @Max W.
  21. I would do a course of bactopur direct as your treating an external infection it better to dose the tank than using medicated food evidence suggests that kanaplex isn't very effective in food as very little of the medication is adsorbed by the intestinal tract so I wouldn't recommend using it in food @Nick93
  22. If it's columnaris it's a very aggressive bacterial infections in my experience salt alone won't be enough
  23. It's highly unlikely that your plants bought in parasites it can happen you wouldn't see any symptoms in two days it can take a couple weeks for parasite to get a level were you would see symptoms in your fish other thing can cause flashing such as poor water quality such as ammonia or nitrite cholrine do you use a water dechlorinator when doing water changes low GH or KH your KH is fine have you added any new fish in last month how you noticed any other symptoms such as rapid breathing hanging out near the surface lethargy spitting food out sunken belly white stringy poop @buildingaqua
  24. Colu

    Ich?

If the spots are raised you could be dealing epistylis it feeds off of gram negative bacteria on the slime coat of your fish and spreads more quickly at higher temperatures the most effective treatment is maracyn2 in food feeding a small amount twice a day for 7 days dose the tank with ick X you can add maracyn2 to repashy add the medication as it starts to thicken that when it rapidly losses heat as some medication are heat sensitive you can store any leftover medicated food in the fridge for 7 days
  25. Salt won't cause any negative interactions with kanaplex it's fine to use the two together
