  1. Could have tried to jump and injured itself on the lid I wouldn't do epsom salt baths in this case it can be stressful what I would suggest is adding Indian almond leaves as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties you might have to add one leaf per gallon to get a beneficial effect and monitor if you notice it getting worse then I would do a course of kanaplex
  2. I wouldn't recommend adding one dose and leaving it for week with any antibiotic medication that can lead to antibiotic resistant If your other fish aren't showing any symptoms I would just monitor for now and only treat if your fish start showing symptoms active ingredient in maracyn2 minocycline is less effective in hard water with a higher pH kanaplex is better choice for hard water high pH
  3. No it doesn't it's rarely fatal is treat with praziquantel
  4. It might need a second course of kanaplex and ick x to get rid of the last couple of spots
  5. Yes stop treating with kanaplex and yes make a new batch of metroplex in food every 7 days it might just be taking longer for the ammonia burn to in this weaken state the other possibility is black spot disease more often found in pond and needs snails as a host
  6. Are the new spots flat or raised @Brinny
  7. The black patches should gone away after 4-5 weeks are you still showing a small amount of ammonia when you test. it still looks bloated and has pineconing I would keep treating with metroplex for full 3 weeks and keep salt keep aquarium salt at 1 table spoon for 2 gallons till you have finished the full course of metroplex then gradually water change out the salt @Supermassive
  8. KH Will drop over time because of the build up of organic mater and fish snails and plants will deplete KH over time with liverbears and african cichlids that like hard water it can cause them to get chronic health issues affecting there immune system cause them to essential fall apart
  9. Have you recently tested your KH and GH if there to low that would also affect your African cichlids
  10. Loss of appetite and spitting food out can be signs of a parasitic infections I would treat following @Odd Ducktreatment protocol for a parasitc infection @Mattlikesfish36
  11. With praziquantel you want to treat every two weeks for a total of three full courses of treatment so treat week 1 week 3 week 5 with praziquantel with clamped fins and hanging at the surface i would monitor then very close the praziquantel might help with the behaviour there showing i would give an update after the first full course of praziquantel go from there
  12. Salt is fine to use with antibiotic medication I would gradually start to remove the salt over the next couple of days
  13. If your using pure RO water your would want to remineralize your RO water with seachems equilibrium or similar product
  14. You can Do two 50% water changes or one large water change and run active carbon for 24hr to remove any remaining medication before treating with kanaplex and jungal fungus clear
  15. as this tanks had neon tetra disease I wouldn't add barbs angelfish danio rasbora guppies goldfish or tetra such as cardinals they can get neon tetra disease that limits your stock opinion unless you broke the tank down and sterilised everything KH to low for mollies i would add some crushed coral you need add 1 pound of crushed coral per 10 gallons to raise your as low KH can cause a lot of health issues in liverbears assuming your mollies are all male or female and won't breed you could add a small group of Cory's most species of Cory's like cooler temperatures of 74°F you could lower your temperature to 74°F and get a group of bronze Cory's your Mollie would do fine at that temperature
  16. What are your water parameters ammonia nitrite nitrate pH KH GH temperature and what filtration are you using do you have live plants or fake plants that will help when considering stocking options
  17. Looking at the pictures that doesn't look to bad the Redding could be because it has a long tail fin and he's catching or Irritating it on something in the tank I wouldn't do another course of kanaplex I would just keep the aquarium salt at 1 table spoon for 2 gallons for another week than give an update @Ronnie
  18. If he sill has Redding to the fins that's a sign of an active infection you might have to do two courses of kanaplex back to back can you take a picture of the fins @Ronnie

    Bump on Betta Head

Could be a small cyst or possibly injured himself causing a small amount of inflammation what I would do is add some Indian almond leaves as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties you might have to add one leaf per gallon to get a beneficial effect and monitor for a week if you notice any change give us an update
  20. Sometimes you will have to do two courses of kanaplex back to back what I would do is leave it 5 days add some inda almond leaves and monitor then follow up with another course of kanaplex if your seeing no change
  21. I would leave him in another week just to be on the safe side then put him back in the main tank if he's still active and eating ok
  22. Forgot to add only use that level of salt in quarantine tank at that level it would be harmful to your loach @reefhugger
  23. With white patches it's always best to air on the side of caution possible columnaris could also be fungal it's difficult to tell off your picture I would do a course of kanaplex and aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 1 gallon the combination of kanaplex and salt will treat bacterial and fungal infections just remember with salt to only put back in what you take out so if you do a 1 gallon water change put 1 table spoon of salt back in as salt only removed though water changes leave the salt for a minimum of 7 days at that level than gradually start to lower it to 1 table spoon for 3 gallons for another week@reefhugger
  24. Possibly injured itself and it's got some inflammation under the skin causing a small lump assuming there Indian almond leaves in the tank i would add more as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties and monitor for next 5 days to the see if lump gets bigger or reduces in size and add a small amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 10 gallons that will aid Gill function and add essential electrolytes at that level safe for your loach then give an update if you notice it getting worse @pancake
  25. I can only see your top picture Does it have fuzzy appearance any Reddening around the white area
