  14. The black skirt tetra is underrated. Don't know too many aquarium hobbyist that keeps them.
  15. I don't know what kind of rock that is but do a test pour vinegar on the rock. If rock fiss then it contains calcium carbonate.
  16. Some species of fish have different digestive systems so proper diet is required.
  17. Wild plants from ponds, and lakes are risky believe me. I personally collected hornwort from and placed it Ina jar observed the jar and planaria and leeches.

  19. It's possible some breeders use totes. Depends on what the material of the box is made of. If the box will leach toxins. @beastie
  20. A few years ago purchased a group of 7 neon tetra from a Petsmart. The only tankmates were 3 Banjo Catfish. After a year started to lose neons and eventually ended up with one that survived for another year. The Banjo Catfish weren't affected by any neon disease. My Banjo Catfish are over 7 years old. I would just wait it out like you stated. @Fishoutawater

  23. If nitrates are above 10ppm I suggest larger or more frequent water changes.
