  1. Welcome to the the forum. What type of goldfish feeder comet, fancy goldfish?
  2. I would let the little female grow a bit to atleast sexual maturity. I'm no expert on apistogramma and hopefully others chime in with their thoughts.
  3. I'll have to check out the new Godzilla movie. I agree a couple were bad along with a couple of King Kong movies 😆
  4. @Jaspyjasp I personally would be worried if the parents spawned. The smaller apisto would be harassed by the parents. Your aquarium is heavily planted that may help.
  5. Congrats! It's very exciting when something like that happens 🙂
  6. I fed the fry crushed up pellet when they became free-swimming.
  7. https://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/threads/what-would-you-do-with-these-kribensis.645086/ Bred Kribensis Pulcher a few years ago. The female would use a section of pvc pipe to lay her eggs in. I had a little algae so fry had something to graze on. A very hardy species but are very aggressive if eggs, wriggler, or free-swimming fry in the aquarium.
  8. Depends on how fast your parameters stabilize. It could take 6-7 weeks if you started with no live beneficial bacteria. Also depends on various factors such as bioload and water temperature.
  9. @princedreaming A first for me to hear of substrate other than gravel used with a under gravel filter.
  10. Rubbermaid Brute can for mixing saltwater. Rubbermaid tote for sump. Walmart 3 drawer cart without wheels made into wet/dry trickle filter. Plastic Pot scrubbers for biomedia. Magnifying glass.
  11. The Albino Clawed frog may be a problem if the fish are small enough to fit in it's mouth.
  12. If it looks good to you that's all that matters. 😉 What type of fish do you have in it.
  13. It will definitely help jump start a cycle.
  14. @BIRD0887 Welcome aboard 😀 @Carson Wargo Welcome aboard 😀
  15. @Ujaynme Yes the Goldfish are very 😊
  16. Yeah follow your heart I agree both great catfish species.
  17. @Mercfh Small lower jaw Polypterus may be interesting. I personally have a amazon bumblebee catfish and a striped Raphael Catfish. They both hide 😆 Most catfish are nocturnal.
  18. @Mercfh That probably was very stressful for the Pepper Cory I suggest slowing the flow or placing a pre-filter on the intake. It's possible for that to happen again.
  19. @bryanisag If fry are small enough to fit through a airline hose you could suck the fry up into the shrimp net. Keep net close to end of airline hose so you won't harm the fry.
  20. @Herefishie I hope you change your mind about TFH magazine it's a great magazine.
  21. @Mercfh Yes looks like 7.8 to me. Not overstocked imo. When you're fish start growing and the guppies start to breed that will increase your bioload.
  22. @Danothechef I was thinking roots of the Amazon Sword may affect the function of undergravel filter in the area with it's roots.
  23. @reefhugger Vacuuming the gravel will have minimal affect on beneficial bacteria only waste trapped in the gravel would affect water parameters imo. Like stated different answers
