  1. Hey ChillFish, Welcome to the forum and it's never easy losing a pet. As many have lost fish, it's knowledge that's gained. They more research you can do, the better off you be. Sorry for the loss and if you need anything just let me or others know.
  2. Hey Nic, Welcome to the forum! Ping looks very beautiful and hope it makes it through. The people are always helpful. If you need anything just let me know.
  3. For myself, I would have to say time as well. I'm just now set up in my new place. Based on everything going on its been crazy 🤪 I look forward to having things in place and setting up my fish room.
  4. Welcome to the group RoyaleButterfly! Very nice to meet you, I'm am located in Dothan. If you need any help feel free to ask me or others. Thanks 😊
  5. That's hilarious, at first I didn't know that it was dry erase 🙃
  6. Wow that's amazing 🤩 I want to get out in the wildlife to catch some, in due time. Have to get my home set up since I'm moving.
  7. Do you have any off your old biological media in the other tanks?
  8. Hey Gamegurl, The Panda Garra are fine to keep as in small groups rather than individuals. What size is the tank? Also, using the algea and biofilm will only last so much. Having algea tabs is a must for them. I would try to zucchini once again where you put it overnight, do not feed algea tabs. Take it out in morning. Also, you can grab canned green beans with no salt added.
  9. Just keep us updated, would like to see axolotl, I want to get one 😁
  10. I'm my opinion, honey gourami are more subject to non aggression, compared to sparkling gourami. Sparking gourami could have a place to call there own, with hiding spots. Giving plants, rocks, based off gallons. Etc. Would have tremendous helping in keeping sparkling gourami. Just my two sense. And welcome to the forum. If you need anything let us know.
  11. Hey welcome to the forum JDL It's great that you've watched Cory's video and have made a successful transition by adding a sump. I thought about it many times an been to scared 😆 With the fish, if you have a quarantine tank it would be ideal. You can monitor the fish to make sure they acting normal. If not you can use medication to treat them. Would love to see your tank when you get time.
  12. Wow, that's amazing colors. I found it hard to have the options available at LFS in the area. Hopefully, you can give her a dream life 😇
  13. That's awesome 🤣 Going to have to give that a try.
  14. Honestly, My choices are; rap, rock, country, edm, of course Aquarium PodCast. My mood dictate it all. I could have ACDC, then switch to The Weekend. 🤪
  15. I can't really see without a close up, but you will have clean up crew like mention above from Guppysnail. The wood may start to look likes it's worst, this is normal. Best of luck
  16. Wow so amazing! Funny how proper diet can make up fish behavior. Congratulations
  17. I have kept; L264 - Sultan Pleco , and L134 - Leopard Frog Pleco Not the L333 - King Tiger Pleco The breeding can take sometime to get them up to adulthood, if purchased as juveniles. If your willing to raise them up, 6+ will get you the way. As you can see this is a small investment; you can check and make sure breeding pair. Sell off the rest to recover from investment. I would recommend Dan's Fish if your looking for something. If your looking for specific breeding pairs. Aquabid (checking reviews) is your best outcome. That way you could see the fish for sale. You can always ask questions, what's tank setup, foods, etc. There are great videos from Dean, TM Aquatics, KeepingFishSimple, etc. Doing your research makes this the best possible outcome. If you could find bristlenose ; super reds, blue eyed lemons, snow whites it may be something financially worth while. That way you can learn the process of shipping fish (if no LFS can't take them). Until you become more comfortable, best of luck.
  18. I am not a coffee or tea connoisseur. But I do have daily coffee consist cold coffee medium roast with liquid creamer. Because, I based 11 months out of year, I selected cold brew. The winter, I select hot tea; with earl gray or oolong tea. I would like to venture out in to this, only time will tell.
  19. I have similar quality in LFS around the area. It's about 2 hours drive for me. I would recommend posting online (reddit = r/AquaSwap, Aquabid, etc.). If you don't know how to ship fish, I recommend looking one up. You can easily find Dans Fish, or someone else's. Parts to do it are rather simple (I found breather bags by just asking in I could have a few, no charge). Just by being curious; you many do you get? Best of luck to you!
  20. Hey Gannon, The KingOfDIY has a great video aquarium safe rock/or not. I would recommend the following video to make sure. Then I would bowl them like mentioned (Pepere). Hopefully this helps.
  21. I wish they would just ban these from being sold. Make a minimum stores could sell. 😤
  22. Anything growing makes sense when it comes to mental relation. To take pride in what you grow and prosper. I think cats but I'm allergic wish I wasn't. I was watching Jimmy Gimbal channel when he was dealing with houseplants. I would like to get into it have a lot going on.
  23. Personally I prefer 40 gallon breeder. It's going to 36" x 18" x 16" which adds more footprint for it. Based off the weight it will be good enough till it continues to grow. Then I'd choose 75g+; 48" x 18" x 21", when you stop living 2nd floor 😇 While 55 gallons ; 48" x 13" x 21" much higher footprint, narrow in size (not needed for it, and weight is an issue) Just my two sense with it. Let me know how it goes.
  24. Now that you put it this way... haha 😄
  25. Absolutely verify it is cyanobacteria. I had this before in an old tank (as recommend Nabokovfan87) If it's verified you can use toothbrush (not one own 🙃) delicate get as much as you can. Then hit it will 3% Hydrogen Perioxide (as recommend by John Henry) I don't know if it can be removed from tank (Super Glue, Caulk) I'd recommend it to treat it. If attached, I would recommend taking out the floating plants, into a small bucket or tuperware. Doing a water change below the line, treat with Hydrogen peroxide. Let it sit for a few mins, fill up the tank and let floaters go. Hopefully, this helps.
