One of my monsteras somehow keeps shooting small leaves mostly. Any ideas why? 😄

That tank has my bandit corydora my pygmy corydora handful of celestial pearl Danios I could never catch, some nerites some assassins some bladder Snails.
The two pieces that hold the ugf filter plates together, snapped off and they shoved apart and in trying to get them back together. I cracked the filter plate. The gravel spilled completely under the filter plate.

So a lot of gunk was collecting underneath, and I couldn’t get it out. One of my bandit Cories got a tiny little white spot on its tail, and another one had a tiny little white spot on its mouth from the gunk under the filter plate.

So I’m pulling apart and replacing the filter plate. 

That’s why the water is green in that great big tote that I’m holding all the fish in. I put in some jungle fungus tabs in kanaplax. We’re gonna let them marinate in there.

Is it getting enough light? Are you using used fish tank water to water it? If nothing else, add more water and add some fish tank fertilizer or house plant fertilizer. That Monstera is a smaller pot with holes in the bottom inside of a bigger pot. I always leave about 2 inches of water just in the pot so it can constantly suck up its own water and it sucks up water like crazy.

I'm feeling lazy to carry poop water to this one, as it is in downstairs. I usually pour some to the ones in upstairs.

I used to walk around whole house carrying a fish poop bucket once a week, but I burnt out quickly 😄

@Lennie the fishes will be fine. It’s nothing but to much gunk under the filter plate where they eat coupled with overstocked tank. It’s nothing serious. Nothing has been added to the tank in a year other than a few assasins from another tank.

I have plants in order for this tank and the swap is March 25. So I just stuffed as many plants in the tank as I could so everyone had hiding spots until they feel safe again. 
😝 now the aftermath cleanup. I NEED FEMA to send troops to fix the disaster 🤣

today I was gifted by my kids with Pygmy, panda and melini cory spawns. My Aspidora also gave me a huge spawn.

I only have 1 boy and 5 girls breeding age right now. The huge cluster I’m not certain any are fertile. The small cluster in the left were almost all fertile so my boy was busy on that side of the tank.

Love and Hate

I ordered crypts from my LFS. they look awesome. Love them. 
Spent almost an hour trying to get rock wool out of the roots. Hate rock wool. 
@dasaltemelosguy I am going to see if RR has one more fabulous trick up it’s sleeve….can it vibrate the last bits of stubborn rock wool out of crypt roots 😲
