I dont think i could knock over a tank on purpose so i doubt the baby could knock it over on accent. Take every precaution of course but i wouldnt lose sleep over it. Securing dressors and tvs would be more urgent.

Scapexghost replied to nabokovfan87's topic in Plants, Algae, and Fertilizers
Ive never had success with moss. I dont even try anymore bc it just ends up being a mess of hair algae. This reminds me though i need to post last semesters dorm tank.- 5 replies

I havent bread either, but the general conception is that zebra danios are relatively easy to brees while tiger barbs are fairly hard. So i think your right in that they are danio stragglers.

My favorite currently airing anime is jujutsu kaisen and my all time favorite is steins gate. I think the anime most similar to aot is full metal alchemist brotherhood. My favorite currently airing anime is jujutsu kaisen and my all time favorite is steins gate. I think the anime most similar to aot is full metal alchemist brotherhood. The neir automata anime is also similar to aot in a sense. I highly recommend the 2 most recent neir games, i think its probably best to play those first- 17 replies

It depends in the dimentions, but i find guppies work well. I did them in a 5.5 a while back and got a lot of breeding. I didnt see any signs that they felt cramped. Guppies are tiny and not fast swimmers.

Brutal. But hopefully some newbees see this, since it show this can happen to even the most experienced fish keepers. I mean, there is nothing I have 25 years experience in. But, i would just give it time. Whatever killed the barbs will die without them. 2-4 weeks should be good, but of course add fish gradually to be safe.

Stocking Stuffers and General fishy things to Consider

If any of yall are parents/grandparents/uncles/aunts looking for gift ideas for the little nerms, i think its fsir to say what they want is another tank. One sizing larger than their current biggest. Buying tanks for adults isnt always a good idea but for kids theyll always appreaciate it.- 21 replies

Dont fix what aint broke. Dont let a color on a test strip mske you mess with a tank that has been doing well for so long.

Are guppies really dumb or really brave...
Scapexghost replied to Galabar's topic in General Discussion
I think theyre just domesticated. Like a dog will run up to a human while a wolf would run away. Neither is smarter or braver they just have a different view of humans -
Maybe have just plants for a week or so and then add fish. Floaters will eat up nitrogen real fast same with stems. The week will give them time to get established b4 you add fish

I would just put in an airstone and call it a day

Drain the water to one inch and call your strongest friend

So from my experience swim bladder is always head above tail. Since yours is tail above head, probably not swim bladder. I would just monitor for now.

QUIET HOB recommendations for 10 gallon and 5 gallon?
Scapexghost replied to HoosierJeff's topic in General Discussion
I find even the cheap trash pretty quiet. Like the aquan quit flow and the generic petsmart one. Usually theyre much quieter that the electric hum of a tv or xbox -
Is it necessary to boil driftwood before placing in aquarium?
Scapexghost replied to Eric G's topic in General Discussion
Its best practice to soak in water but that could take weeks -
Cabomba and anaxharus are stems ive had a lot of success with but i think youll be fine with the plants you listed, although the reds may not be as break as you want
-
Do you know the age of the fish?
-
Test nitrate. Considering increasing light intensity and/or duration

The colorful swordtails youll find at a fish store do not get nearly as big as their wild counterparts. Im not sure this is bc of interbreeding with platies, poor breeding practices, or a consequence of domestication but either way, odds are a 20 is fine. Im not sure if the 5.5 inch measurement includes thr sword, bc if not a 5.5 inch sword would be very impressive even for a wild type.

Ottos can be pretty difficult so only get them if you really like them. If you just want some help with algae, get a nerite snail or bn pleco.

3 bags would probably cut it. The general rule is 1 to 1.5 lbs per gallon, with smaller tanks leaning towards 1.5 and larger towards 1.

Update to my last post. So it turns out it isn’t my windows.

They certainly are pretty. Any species/local your favorite?

Show me in pictures how hot it is in your area.

I was unironically overjoyed when i saw the highs for this week were only in the low 90°s. -
One way is to pull the plant off the bulb one the plant is big enough. The plant will grow a new bulb and the bulb will grow a new plant. The will propagate on their own without flowering, however the specifics elude me. All i know is that i had one bulb, and now i have 3-4.
