I’m worried I have 10 goldfish coming in mail tomorrow and I see this stuff in my tank…. The bugs on top I read harmless goldfish will eat them idk. I would love any help I don’t want get any my 10 orandas 3 months old sick but I think if it’s frog or somthing they will just eat them. I’m stomped I have nothing in tank can drop fry. I have this little 10ish things swimming in 125g tank nothing old enough in tank. I have 5 month old bristlenose 4 of them and had 4, 7 month old ranchus goldfish. I moved them few days ago get ready for new fish. I also have little bugs jumping on top of water I’ve read nothing worrie about. So is this like frog or somthing? I don’t think it’s a parasite or is it!!!?! Yes if the where all magnetic that be awesome. That prob is the biggest draw back suction cups they have be replaced eventually.

It clicks apart that click will eventually just fall apart. I have no ideal how many clicks can take but all 3 of mine largest they sell same problem. I will never buy them again just very annoying to me.

Hello just curious why seems like everyone use bottom sponge filter over a wall one. Pros bottom sponge filter 1. just drop in no suction cups. 2. there great hiding spot for anything 3. idk I can’t remember accop sells for but it’s a sponge so 10$ I guess. cons 1. every time I grab any of mine plastic top has 50% they disconnect from sponge 2. they take up space on substrate 3. Can accidentally lay on snails or other things if not carful wall sponge filters pros 1. Just grab sponge rinse put back. Without having mess with anything. 2. Takes up 0 space it’s out of the way. 3. 10$ cost 4. idk why but the sponges not coarse like bottom tank ones. I like this polish water better. And maintenance is WAY easier pull wash. This is preference I’m sure but these so easy clean 30 secs and reinstalled. cons 3. Idk I wish everything on walls aquarium was magnetic

I brought these from some spend a lot money 30ish plants. They couldn’t understand how stop blooms and algae. They used real dirt and I would never that’s more advanced hobbyist I think. Mines inert substrate and I control fertilizer. Any I’ve never had plants I google a lot of them but idk what these are. want let me upload more picture for some reason. Idk identify these be nice I assume bright light and co2 be enough any plant I lightly fertilize. But some not doing so well maybe not substrate plants all these planted.

The paracleanse would do full dose like instructions or 1 pack per 10 gallon and don’t feed for a week trio med directions.

So do you always have food for them to graze on? Or do you let the search for a day? They eat it way before it spoils I think.

No leaks lights missing and 1 lids cracked so they used insurance on it. I feeled it up last night let sit till this mourning and seems perfect no chips imperfections. I was looking for broke aquarium actually I want make plywood tank looking 1/2 glass.

If bored drive behind Petco or PetSmart I found this 125 perfect condition missing lights by dumpster last night. No scratches or chips but there always tossing aquariums out. they can’t take them it’s against company policy and they be fired guy told me. And insurance will pay them for it. My wife doesn’t like me spending money on them but free she’s happy so if on budget check any big name brand pet store after they close.

I tried aquabid for first time lfs tired sick fish I figured getting direct be better and boy I’m happy. so I’ve had them 15 gal fluval water Parma perfect. From I think name sdaquatica 8 super reds 2 inch long, 30 cherry shrimp, 20 zebera snails. so they been in quarantine 2 weeks there very active healthy. Do I really need to trio these or can I just watch them 2 months? Idk how shrimp and 1.5 to 2 inch bristlenose would handle treatment. but there vigorous that’s also another question, they eat ALOT I mean WOW I’ve been feeding them zucchini and French cut green beans and the eat 24/7 till there’s nothing left usually 2 days worth. and then I don’t feed them for 2 days because I don’t want them to explode!! so can anyone help me out and tell me how much to feed these guys? And how you would handle quarantine? I have wood for them in there also I read they eat that also idk.

I brought 8 ranchus 3 months ago my guess was 3 or 4 had ammonia burns. I was going skip quarantine just put them in 75 gallon since that’s the only thing in the tank. 1 set on bottom died. After few days with perfect water parameters 0 nitrate nitrites ammonia heavily planted. So another started sit on bottom moved to 15 gallon fluval salted they perked up. Then did the trio treatment 7 days 2 sit bottom and died I’m thinking ammonia burns and meds bad combo. But every time misted like treat them with trio. Sooo after 7 day quarantine one more started sit and died. So I just added them to 55 gallon had empty heavily planted and last one I have with red gills swiming very active and doing better. Black back ground is month old other is today think it’s ok paracleanse? I was told 3 weeks after trio dose paracleanse and it’s time. Only problems sitting on bottom and red gills that I had and of course dieing lost 4 out of 8. I’m 44 been keeping fish off and own my entire life never had ammonia burns problem to simple keep perfect water parameters there always perfect I use stick but check them against solutions. I

I have no clue if I need trio medicate super red bristlenose from aquabid. I want 8 so should buy 10 I think there 1.5inch ii think. So how would one quarantine these? Minimum tank size for quarantine? What should I feed? Algae walfers? Quarantine like normal follow trio directions? If I don’t need to medicate them I could add them to my display tank there both 3ish months old and cycled with no fish. I’m buying from aquabid can anyone recommend seller try’s to give healthy super reds? I’ve never owned these I want 4 in a 75 gallon one will add orandas one day and 4 in a 55 with ranchus soon there in 3 week quarantine gallon.

Well I only have the one bacterial treatment so will try that. It’s like pack everyday so a lot stronger treatment.

Brought 8 ranchus salted 1 week 1 tablespoon per gallon 1 died like second day. Then did trio meds 2 died that ended after 7 days. 1 got sick towards end of trio sitting on bottom of aquarium he’s eating still. I lightly feed 1 time a days. water conditions perfect and temps around 75. All other ranchus seem happy healthy threw entire process. So I added disease fish to my tank should have been quarantined. Lesson learned so how do I clean this tank 100%. I added prazipro since cheap treat 75 gallon and safe invertebrates and plants. I turned heat to 90. Is this enough when fish go back in it in a month? Anything I can do besides empty tank I want keep beneficial bacteria plant and invertebrates alive. Is it better add ammonia drops? Flakes? What be best add keep invertebrates happy just algae wafers? I have crabs shrimp and 4 kinds snails.

Anything aquarium net your hands I’d say can bring stuff into your tank.

I kinda mis understood trio info I don’t see anywhere it says take bio filtration out of the aquarium. I just assumed all meds will kill beneficial bacteria? So I should keep all biological media in quarantine unless I use salt correct??? I assumed since I wasn’t feeding them 7 days ammonia be 0 but test might have tad green to or maybe not. (Picture below looks good) Anyways anyone that ever does ranchus I salted them 6 days at 1 per 3 gallons first day then 2nd day 1 tablespoons per 2 gallon then the third day 1 tablespoon per gallon I even went over tad with salt tablespoons. I use rock salt not fine granular salt. 100% water change to start trio treatment and 3 of ranchus set on bottom of the tank day or 2. But 3rd day with no food and trio meds all ranchus have perked up and there playing! I will wait 2 weeks in quarantine and just use paracleanse then wait 2 weeks add back to main is the plan I’m learning.

I have 15 flex I’ll show you my filter mods. Stocking basically whatever you like atm mines quarantine I’m moving stuff around. the filter configuration on flex is garbage. So 1.first chambers mechanical and plants are perfect because hole lcover. I use bamboo you can use anything but whatever put there will grow fast. 2. I modified the mine you can see media in pick it’s awesome and cheap on Amazon I think 16 EXTREMELY porous bricks 10$. 3. I stoped hole up force water up flow over to 3rd chamber. And toss heater pump in 3rd cover any bio media I use fluval.

So I just got meds going for 7 days. Should I repeat it in like theree weeks? Most parasites have like eggs or larva or a stage meds don’t kill them? I salted them for 7 days 1 tablespoon per gallon ranchu a seemed happy even perked up some. So I did 100% water change today and put tri on them. So I wait 7 days do water change then keep them 4 weeks quarantine watch for illness?

Just curious anyone can tell me why when I change water I get extreme pearling all my plants. Oxygen is flowing up off all of them 2-3 days????? one picture is my c02 it flows very strong idk if that matters. My c02 in 2 liter yeast I change every 7 days keep strong c02 flow. does anyone have a guess?? I have a little hair algae but my fish love eating it. I also have like 80$ plant light from Amazon and 2 very strong lights I used for growing weed. So pictures look a little red it helps plants bloom.

I’m going start doing this trio meds every time since Petco has 30 day guarantee so don’t feed for 7 days wow! Do I do any other treatments? I’ll have lots air and keep heat high I guess 82ish it doesn’t say. Should I also salt them after trio treatment I want be super aggressive. I don’t want them get something few months later I could have avoided. I wanted easy green so win win!

I’ve watched tons videos pimafix and melafix and basically what you said there worth try but there very weak. And the knock oxygen out water so add lots bubbles. my main problem in I can do this trio aquarium coop recommends but I didn’t quarantine my fish I added them to my main 75g tank for 2 days. Sooo using paracleanse on the 75 what cost more then the fish..... idk what do soooo going do what Cory recommend last post tablespoon salt per gallon in a smaller tank. Then do paracleanse and that’s it hope for best. on my 75 prazipro it’s a lot cheaper and raise temp to idk 90 or whatever temp on kill biological filtration.
