Gannon
Mine personally has to be the standard 125 gallon tank. The long and visually striking sizes like these have always been my favorite, but I'm starting to see more appeal in the wider tanks like 40 gallon breeders.
ScottieB
My new favorite is the 60 gallon breeder! If you like the 40, your gonna love the 60. https://reefbuilders.com/2022/01/12/aqueon-60-gallon-breeder-is-sure-to-be-a-popular-tank/

Levi_Aquatics
75 is my favorite that I have had so far. I haven’t had a 40 or 60 breeder yet so I can’t comment on those but a 75 is great because it is a manageable size but you can still keep lots of cool, larger fish. It also has a great footprint! Guppysnail
40b/20 long are my favorites I have. now Depending on species. I have never been fond of tanks that have less surface area than depth. I really like the 50 lowboys though. Something about watching from the surface is so rewarding.

I have a 65 gallon display tank, which has the same footprint as the 40 breeder, but it's awkward to work in the bottom of it.

Biotope Biologist
Peninsula tanks have always been my favorite. Seeing people scape the low boys is also a new fave of mine. 40 breeders were my bread and butter back in the olden days
BettaHomesAndGardens
I know the bigger the better rule applies for most and I do love seeing huge tanks however, 20 long and 37 gallon are two of mine. They both have the same general footprint but offer different options. Decent width for schooling fish and the 37 has a large viewing area so you can stock bottom middle and top water column areas. I can also set up multiple aquariums without them taking up monster amounts of space which lends itself to my ADD.
Expectorating_Aubergine
I like a good 15 gallon. I don't know why, but they've always appealed to me...
PineSong
I really like my 20 long, but I wish it was six inches longer without being any taller.
StevesFishTanks
Here is a spreadsheet I made a while back. It lists common tank sizes seems relevant and could be a useful reference in this thread.
Martin
20G long for me, though I've only been fishkeeping for just over a year and haven't gotten any larger tanks. I'm not sure I want to venture any bigger just due to the maintenance... that and my wife would murder me. 😆
H.K.Luterman
I really like the size of my 75, but I've never had anything bigger: my armpit gets wet as it is, I can't imagine working on anything deeper!
Andy's Fish Den
The 40 breeder is my favorite, fallowed closely by the 75 gallon. I do want to check out the new 60 breeder that has come out, I may fall in love with them
JettsPapa
I don't have one, but 33 gallon longs (48-1/4" L x 12-3/4" W x 12-7/8" T) look interesting. I've heard they're hard to find, but I saw a stack of them at Fish Gallery in Houston last summer.
AndEEss
The big footprint Euro rimless tanks. 120S, 120U, 150U. I like the basic 75, too. Edited February 2, 2022 by AndEEss
