  1. I've got 2 of those and have never seen it actually glow. That would be concerning to me. Do you have a thermometer to check the temp?
  2. You can use one, but not necessary at all. I currently breed 7 species of corydoras and have never used one.
  3. When I previously managed a lfs we just held onto the fish until they sold. I never had any fish long enough in the store to actually grow to full size, in your example of an oscar.
  4. Looks like it might be damaged. Better pics would help.
  5. From my experience I would start out with neocaridina shrimp. Dont over think it, they are extremely easy to keep, just make sure you are putting them in a well established aquarium.
  6. I agree with @Kurt Brutting, always use an inkbird. I have them running on all my higher end pleco aquariums.
  7. I think eventually, 4 adults might be pushing it in a 75 gallon. I would also treat them like cichlids and I would go with an odd number.
  8. Sorry, it probably wasn't the answer you were looking for...
  9. In my experience, warmouth are easy keepers. I would start off with something that looks like a live food item, such as vibra bites, and then pick a good quality floating pellet of your choosing. Once they begin to associate you with food they are constant beggars.
  10. Depends on the market in your area, I started breeding them around 4 yrs ago when I first heard about them. They are not popular in my area and I had a hard time moving them so I recently got rid of what was left of my group. Talk to some of your LFS and see what they think.
  11. I my opinion they were amazing filters and had several options for inserts. Wish I still had one.
  12. Larger fish looks to be a sewellia species, can't quite tell what the other is from the video, but possibly a gastromyzon species. Never heard of a Hong Kong pleco.
  13. Give them a day or two and if she's in there, you will see her.
  14. I've bred this species several times and have not found them to be jumpers. In my experience they do not need to be very large to breed. If it is there first time, I have found to stay paired up and can stay hidden away for a few days before the female will remerge
  15. Can always stick a breeding mop in and check it for eggs.
  16. 100% not gold nugget. I would post this on planetcatfish.com for ID.
  17. Looks like the lapis luster sand that he has previously used. Bob Steenfott uses it as well
  18. Suprising they haven't by now. Are you using root tabs?
  19. I've used calcium tablets such as tums for years.
  20. You shouldn't have a hard time. They are pretty easy to raise up.
  21. As soon as mine hatch, I move them to a grow out tank. I usually either use a 5 or 10 gallon tank partially filled.
  22. I wouldn't change a thing. Killifish are hardy, but fry will have a harder time adjusting to new water conditions. Just maintain good water quality and raise them up.
  23. I've bred them for a couple years. Pretty straight forward as far as breeding goldfish goes. I bred outside and let the seasons prepare the adults for breeding.
  24. Does not appear to be, cyano is green and slimey looking.
