  1. I wouldn't use two antibiotic medication at the same time it can be stressful to a fish and most of the time is unnecessary what I usually do is treat with maracyn2 if am not seeing any improvement then I such over to antibiotic medication with different active ingredient such as kanaplex neoplex is good antibiotic treatment for external bacterial infections I would treat with kanaplex you could get neoplex to have it just in case it's needed
  2. You could move them you have two options siphon it in to a bucket then add it to your tank or you could get a pump and some tubing pump it from the tote to your tank
  3. I think ammonia in your tank is causing the flashing if you have the room I would get a bin or tote fill it the two days before your water change and add a small heater to being it upto temperature run a small filter with an ammonia removing pad to try and remove as much ammonia as possible before your water change
  4. If you can't get maracyn2 in less than a week if your going quarantine I would try and get holed of kanaplex @Jawjagrrl
  5. What I would do is lower temperature increase surface agitation as the apisto has rapid breathing I would keep treating with ick X for the next couple of days
  6. It's available on eBay from multiple sellers
  7. Ich flat you could be deal epistylis he's how you tell the difference between ich and epistylis it feed off of gram negative bacteria on the slime coat of your fish and spreads more quickly at higher temperatures the most effective treatment is a broad spectrum antibiotic treatment such as kanaplex or maracyn2 and ick x
  8. What are your water parameters ammonia nitrite nitrate pH KH GH temperature if you can post a picture that will help with a diagnosis @Fishy101
  9. You can get it off of eBay possible Amazon
  10. Ich looks like flat white spots that look like a sprinkling of salt of the fins and body rarely on the eyes can you post a picture of the spots @SupersoNick95
  11. Maracyn predominantly treats gram positive and some gram negative bacteria it's only affective at treating internal bacterial infections when added to food were as maracyn2 treats gram negative and some gram positive bacteria is absorbed into the blood stream so it's affective at treating internal bacterial infections when added to the tank
  12. I used Maracyn2 with Ramshorn bladder and mts in tank without any problems it would be better to quarantine and treat on his own
  13. I would treat with Maracyn2 is safe to use with shrimp the active ingredient minocycline also has anti-inflammatory properties kanaplex can be stressful to invertebrates. I would do epsom just for 5 days if your seeing no improvement
  14. I would monitor for next week then give an update before treating with paracleanse
  15. Repashy super green and solient green Tropical pleco tablets with 36% spirulina and tropical hi-aglae discs with 52% algae from five species of algae EBo veg sticks 50% pumpkin 50% pea fibra and EBo spirulina tabs with 30% spirulina cucumber blanched spinach and lettuce are all great quality foods for bristlenose mine breed every 3 weeks with out fail
  16. It's could be but anti parasitic medication such as praziquantel and levamisole aren't readily available in Canada unless you have access to some from another source
  17. Sorry for your loss as he started to show improvement with esha ndx I would treat the main tank possibility other fish are infected in the tank he came from
  18. It could have been the temperature drop swim bladder can be caused by number of things such an injury to the swim bladder or bacterial infection or the fish over eating and the stomach putting pressure on the swim bladder what I would do is a course of maracyn2 or kanaplex which everyone is more readily available just in case there's a bacterial component if it's an injury he might get better given time or the damage could be permanent @Jawjagrrl
  19. I think a good varied diet is the best when it comes to enhancing the colour of your bristlenose at the moment I have common bristlenose black with yellow spots and 25-30% of there spawns are yellow bristlenose I feed mine a varied diet of tropical hi-aglae discs and tropical pleco tablets I also feed EBo youngster grow paste spirulina and Artemis paste and EBo veg sticks which are 50% pumpkin 50% peas EBo algae tabs and frozen blood worms twice a week and cucumber and blanched spinach and lettuce repashy super green and solient green they get fed a different food most days this variety does enhance the colour of my yellow bristlenose a good diet will also mean you have healthy fish less out breaks of disease overall more hardy fish @Fenway
  20. What type of fish do you have in the tank what's your nitrite nitrate pH any rapid breathing hanging out near the surface lethargy spitting food out sunken belly white stringy poop @tetra
  21. It's possible he can recover if his immune system able to fight of the infection I would monitor if you think he's starting to go down hill rapidly then I would humanely euthanize
  22. Looks like a prolapse. what I would do is fast for a couple of days. and do epsom salt baths 1 table spoon for 1 gallon for no more than 15 minutes for 5 days. as Epsom salt acts as a muscle relaxant to help your fish reabsorb the prolapse. @hsmitty
  23. Getting the tank cycled will help he will. It probably need more treatment with a more broad spectrum antibiotic treatment. salt at that level shouldn't inhibit the growth of your benefial bacterial. you could also add some Indian almond leaves as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties you might have to add one leaf per gallon to get a beneficial effect. what I would do is test daily. if you see any ammonia or nitrite do a 50% water changes and add a double dose of prime to help detoxify any ammonia or nitrite till it constantly stays at zero. you can keep adding in the bottled bacteria it won't hurt.
  24. I wouldn't treat with any more medication they can be stressful what I would do is keep stable water parameters and add Indian almond leaves as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties you might need to add one leaf per gallon to get a beneficial effect I would fast him for a couple of days and keep doing the epsom salt baths for another 4 days @grace12
