  1. Hello, I've had a female betta with some swimming issues for a while: - she can't swim normally, practically swims upright - spends almost all of her time lying on the bottom of the tank - normal breathing - normal appetite - slight lack in color - inside seems slightly swollen and red, perhaps slightly more on one side than the other She has been able to survive like this for a while, still eating, etc. however, is there anything I can do? I can't attach a photo right now, but will try to later
  2. Ok thank you. Should I do this in isolation as the tank he is currently in has other fish, a snail, and plants?
  3. Hello, I have a betta who has been developed large, likely tumorous growths, I just wanted confirmation and/or recommendation for what to do if or if they aren’t tumors. I will attach photos. thank you
  4. Hello, My zebra danio has a big red lump, he’s been eating, not swimming quite as much, however this morning I did see him roll over a bit on his side. What is it and how should I treat? I will attach some photos. thanks!
  5. Hello, I did the treatment of salt and then maracyn as I did not see much improvement. Tomorrow is the last day of maracyn treatment and unfortunately it’s not looking much better. What should I do now? thanks!
  6. Hello, I’ve had a betta with Popeye for 2-3 days and it hasn’t gotten better on its own. How should I treat it? Other than her eye she has been acting normal. I will attach a couple photos. Thank you
  7. I did the treatment and he seemed to be doing a bit better yesterday, but still not eating, however, woke up today and he has a very bent spine and is lying on his side on the bottom @Colu
  8. I actually just did a water change today so I can get the parameters in a bit He was definitely hanging near the surface and away form the others at times, and his belly is a good amount smaller than the others He is still moving around some in the separate tank right now, but not with nearly as much energy as usual, and seems more lethargic He hasn't even attempted to eat the food from what I've seen His tale is also slightly moving upwards but then he corrects it as he's moving but it still keeps occurring @Colu
  9. Hello, I have three zebra danios, and had two ember tetras along with some other fish in my tank. Unfortunately one of the ember tetras recently died, he was older, but was seeming extremely skinny for awhile. Now, I've noticed one of my zebra danios is quite skinny compared to the others, and wont eat. I have isolated him, and tried to feed him already. Just wondering what is suggested to do? The only things main things I have on hand is kanaplex, aquarium salt, and just some Indian almond leaves. But I can go to the store tomorrow if something is suggested. Thanks!
  10. Hello, I got two black phantom tetras about a couple days from a new fish store and just today or late last night one died and the other is not doing well. When I got them they were acting a little lethargic and this one had some red gills, could it be gill flukes? I’ve never dealt with this before. I put him in a separate tank with an Indian Almond Leaf and a little bit of aquarium salt as it says it helps gill function. But unfortunately that’s the only meds I have on hand besides kanaplex and I wouldn’t be able to get till the store till tomorrow, and I hope he will make it till then… any suggestions on what to do and what it could be? sorry for some reason three of the photo are upside down (he’s not) and hard to see since he’s hiding but if he comes out I’ll get better ones.
  11. Lovely setups and they look beautiful! How long did it take for them to be able to grow to the size in the last photo?
  12. Hello, I was trying to decide which repashy(s) to order from the site, I have a betta, some big and small tetras, dwarf blue rainbows, and lots of corys, so which one(s) would be suggested? Thanks!
  13. My female cory laid eggs awhile and I have some the babies right now in another tank, however, she laid eggs again! And I don't have much room to spare, so I couldn't take all of the eggs into the separate container, but they starting hatching anywhere from late last night to mid-day today, and right now I have about ten of them. Last time it actually took them awhile to grow to where I could put them into the tank, and then they started growing quite fast (more space and more food perhaps)? So, I was wondering this time around what food and temperature would be suggested to keep them at to help promote fast growth (as well as a clean environment)? For foods, I saw that there was sera micron growth food and repashy spawn and grow, would that be something recommended or would you suggest something else? And other information to help them grow up healthy and happy would be appreciated! Thanks!
  14. For me when I had my Cory lay eggs I put them in a separate container with a little catappa leaf to help prevent any fungus. And then when they hatched I kept them in there and as they grew I eventually put them in a breeding net for a while in the main tank they are in now until they were ready to be released (could have just put them in the breeder net but didn’t have it on hand right away)! So if you want extra corys you can put them in the breeder net. Or if you want you can just leave them in there and see how they do but the other fish may eat the eggs. Also did you get your Cory’s recently and may have gotten a pregnant one or have they been there for awhile?
  15. Love it! Lots of useful information for people to look at quickly to decide which filter best suits there tank.
