  1. i wouldnt hesitate 1 second to use that stand.
  2. nothing, just long time use. key to any scaping is to use what is most pleasing to your eye. slate is good for making structure, and even screwing down pieces of wood that wont stop floating.
  3. ive always like slate myself, but have both.😎
  4. root tabs really arent needed for anubia's. even if they were growing along the substrate. they do excellent feeding from the water column.
  5. i find the vid on youtube, right clip over video save video , then here right clip then paste. it should auto link on its own.
  6. the stuff works, but really only needed in a non established aquarium. my all time favorite is fluval cycle, and can also recommend fritzyme7.
  7. hygger makes some fairly decent inexpensive lights.
  8. stuff with copper sulfate in it will generally kill snails quickly. to be noted, it will kill any snail, shrimp, crab, it doesnt care. also in heavy enough doses that are sometimes required to eliminate snails, it can harm fish.
  9. if they dried up, odds are slim they will recover. best you can do is put them in water, and wait to see what happens.

  12. that stuff is spooky first time you get it. its an ohhh crud whats happening moment. it will go away in time. some pieces of wood take 2 or 3 weeks, some take a couple of months. its ugly but harmless.
  13. stressed from being moved, and possibly a little iffy from the conditions of the tank it was in.
  14. i might try to find some acrylic glue, and wick into the crack, then after it dries run a bead of silicone over it.
  15. for me personally, gravel is easier, and day old guppies like to get down and hide in the nooks and crannies in gravel.
  16. agree, indoor/outdoor, or find some of the junk they put in bar's that stuff drinks a lot, and is durable.
  17. substrate and filters are totally subjective, but for plants, java moss or any plant that gives fry places to hide in.
  18. i'd be ticked off. 200 for shipping, it should be put in a crate for that kind of money.
  19. plenty of people make sand work. i on the other hand stick with gravel because its easy, and nearly fool proof.
  20. ya need an exothermic cutter for that. might be a tad spendy to give your fish.😈
