The ones in the pictures with the adventitious roots. Or do I trim them on the stem between the roots and plant the vertically?
-
So to propagate them, trim and replant horizontally?

My angels want to breed. I could start a 29 gallon for them. But I just started a 29 live bearer tank and a 75 community tank. Would it be easier to transfer the live bearers to the 75 and the angels to the 29 and forget the added expense of a fifth tank?
-
And can I leave the parents in with the fry?
-
So it’s natural for them to put their eggs on leaves? I thought they preferred vertical or nearly vertical places.

The OB peacock is one of the most mellow fish I have in that tank.

I have a couple of angels in a 75 gallon community tank. A koi and a black marble. I did a 30 percent water change today as well as other needed maintenance. a couple hours later I came back to the tank to find one of my anubias' leaves covered in what I thought was remnants of my maintenance. Only to find out they were angelfish eggs. My hands were attacked by the koi. So now my question is, what gallon tank do I need to put my angels in if I want to breed them? can I get away with a 10 gallon but it should really be a 20? Should it be planted? This first time gather needs help.

Here’s my 5 year old 55. It has a little bba on the edges of my plants. But it has become a excess fish catch all. I don’t know how to improve it without tearing it apart and starting completely over. I have spider wood, and lava rock. Just looking for ideas. I hate to make changes until the bba is off the edges of my leaves. There’s a pair of Asian algae eaters and three Chinese algae eaters, and a clown pleco in there but they’re busy, busy, busy.

I need ideas of what to do with the top tank. It’s a catch all for fish I don’t want in my other tanks. Kribensis, blue acara, Australian rainbows, corys, etc. It needs a ton of help, as do I.

Anyone can have a betta or goldfish in a bowl. (Very cruel in my opinion.) But when you have multiple tanks with or without live plants, aggressive or community fish, live bearers or egg layers, nano or giant fish or anything in between, there’s so much to consider. This site has been so instrumental in furthering my fish nerdiness it’s beyond expectations. To all the people who have helped me along this journey it seems thank you just isn’t enough. But that’s all I got. Thank you everyone!!!!

I have a 29 gallon, heavily planted. Stocked with 9 variatus platties, 5 swordtails, 3 guppies, 2 dwarf corys, a dojo loach and 3 amano shrimp. My water chemistry is good with weekly water changes. Am i dancing with the devil having so many fish? This is a pic before I added 6 platties.

Thanks so much, quite the money saver that is. My plants are growing like weeds, lol. 2-3” a week.

I’m going to trim back my bunch plants, but how far back should I go? If it’s like 3-4”, can the trimmings be replanted in another tank?

I collected a plant from a local lake. Local name is cabbage or musky weed. Because predator fish like to use it for cover. It grows 6-15 feet tall. I tried the Wisconsin DNR as well as Michigan and Minnesota. The only name I could find is that is one of a group called pond weeds. I temporarily put it in my new 75. In the picture it’s in the front right corner. After I get home from thanksgiving I’ll post a better photo. I’m driving 235 miles south to buy fish because my lfs’s suck. It’s cheaper than buying online, and I like picking out my own fish.

If it turns out not to be an anubias, will it be bad if I glue it down?

It’s about 8” across

I have easy green but don’t want an algae bloom from too much fertilizer.

I couldn't find bags to use so I opted to just pile lava rock in the corners. Looks fine, I'll take pics tomorrow after the plants have time to acclimate.

Just planted and filled my 75. How long do the fertilizers last from start up? Will there be enough, in the water column to feed anubias and java fern?
