  1. Did some rearranging, added some crypts and boesemani rainbow fish. Eventually planning on moving the big tetra to their own tank, rainbows to a 55, gonna put the apisto and the blue tetra in their own tank, might put the bristlenose in the tank with the big tetras. I have pictus catfish I want to put in here. I'm going to add larger south American cichlids to this tank eventually. Some electric blue acara and a couple other things along with the angelfish that's in there right now. I don't want more angels, this guy loaths his own kind, but, I've grown to love him and he gets on fine with everyone else in the tank now.any suggestions on what I could put in there with an angelfish some electric blue acara and pictus catfish? Must be plant friendly. I know that's limited, might do some keyholes but I want a little more color.
  2. Yeah, that's basically my point ..... They're called "sky blue" because they are stressed, not colored up and probably have less of the electric blue gene in them than typical electric blue rams. It's the same thing with shrimp.
  3. Thank you! I've actually just put some rainbows in my 125 gallon. Still planning on moving things around eventually. Going to be a few months but, I keep water lettuce in all of my tanks, even my 75 gallon painted turtle tank so the rainbows will still have em to spawn on when they get their own tank.

  5. What I've noticed with sellers is "sky blue" anything, just means "not as blue as usual" lol
  6. It's loaded with hornwort, and various other plants. I'm very confident in it. Honestly though, I'm probably going to just up the numbers of what I have now. The gouramis are so infatuated with each other that they don't seem to think the angle even exists. Everything here gets along "swimmingly" 😅 lol the gourami are going to be moved to another tank with more pearls eventually, after that, I might put in something different.
  7. Probably gonna go with the Monte carlo, I've had nothing but issues with hairgrass and a carpet of dwarf sag doesn't have the look I'm going for. Was thinking pearlweed too. Might mix the two too see what I get.
  8. This all looks great. But I'm more looking too add to what I currently have, this would require I remove all fish and restart.
  9. I'm going to be adding some more fish to my 125 gallon. I have 1 male black marble anglefish 1 male apistograma hongsloi 2 pearl gourami 3 male bristlenose plecos 4 swordtails 10 bleeding heart tetra 8 Columbian tetra 8 king blue tetra. Going to add 4 female swordtails 3 Columbian tetra And 3 king blue tetra. Is there anything else I can add to make this tank more interesting? Another cichlid? Some hatchet fish? Something? I know I'll probably add some platy as well. Maybe 3 or 4.
  10. I'm looking for a good carpeting plants for my 125. I'm thinking about going with Monte carlo. What would be the best way to get this to spread fast without the use of CO2? Should I use root tabs? Just dose ferts like normal? The only other plant I grew a carpet with successfully was dwarf saggitaria. Any tips or other plant suggestions would be much appreciated.
  11. This is my 125 community tank. It consists of: 10 bleeding heart tetra 8 Columbian tetra 8 skirt tetra 8 king blue tetra 4 sword tails 3 male bristlenose plecos 2 pearl gourami 1 male apistograma hongsloi 1 male black marble anglefish. Going to add to those numbers on a few things. Also looking too add something else that's not in the tank to it. Any suggestions? My intention right now is too add 3 more Columbian tetra 3 more king blue tetra 4 female sword tails and 3 platy Maybe some hatchet fish? Maybe some keyhole cichlids? Let me know what you guys think!
  12. This is my 55 gallon Asian community tank. Currently stocked with Red ruby Barbs, a 3 spot gourami and some pictus catfish(not Asian obviously lol) that are being moved to a 40 breeder in a few months to make room for yo yo loaches. The plants are not Asian. At least not all. There is some hornwort, egeria densa, dwarf saggitaria , some kind of rotala (coin leaf I think?), Triple red ludwigia, water lettuce and a tiger lotus. The plan for this tank is to eventually make a tiny fish room off the side of my bedroom so I'll eventually move these fish back there as well as the fish in my 125 gallon to make room for some rainbow fish in this tank and maybe something bigger in the 125. Going to start a journal for that one too. Let me know what you guys think. All questions and suggestions are welcomed.
  13. Hello! My name is Brian. I've been looking for more places to share my experiences and learn more about this awesome hobby. Right now I have 4 tanks. I only have pictures of 2 too share right now though. I have a 55 gallon tank with a 3 spot gourami, about 17 black ruby barbs and 3 pictus catfish that are going into a 40 breeder in a few months to make room for yo yo loaches. The 125 has black skirt tetra, blue king tetra, Columbian tetra, bleeding heart tetra, sword tails, m/f pearl gourami, 3 bristlenose plecos all male, one albino, one regular, and one green dragon, a male apistograma hongsloi and a male black marble anglefish. Going to be rescaping this tank this Friday as the jungle look is getting to be a bit much for me lol. Probably going to make 2 separate islands with smaller rocks and wood in between. Plants everywhere of course. Anyway, this was a long winded intro lol😅. I look forward to being apart of this awesome community!
