Not sure, i assume if the net is large enough as soon as they get the almost square like appearance (at least for the far superior endler that is)

I would assume it is probably similar for both. And I have never kept endlers, so I can’t speak to that lol

Update on the geophagus pyrocephalus (red head tapajos) after 24+ hours. They are all alive and seem to be adjusting very well to their new aquarium. I fed all the fish vibra bites for the first time tonight and I can understand why everyone likes them so much! All the fish went CRAZY! I even caught the tapajos eating them2060717528_IMG_E45271.JPG.e2bd15fa023bfe36b9d2ebd115d12ff7.JPG

I didn't realize how small vibra bites were until I was holding them in my hand, but fortunately that just means my guppies can eat them too!

A quick update on the mini fish room. For starters, all the red head tapajos are doing great! I fed more vibra bites today and they seem to really enjoy them. They are becoming much more outgoing and hiding less which is exciting to see!

Some exciting new things are happening in the fish room! For starters, the red head tapajos are growing quickly and starting to show some markings and slight coloration. Their qt is almost over, so they will soon join the 75 gallon South American ish themed aquarium.
I also purchased a betta for my 5 gallon and I have been enjoying him so far.

I also have a surprise project for the 10 gallon the tapajos are currently in. Here are some clues/ items I have purchased for the setup

Quick update-

I moved the tapajos to the 75 yesterday and they were certainly scared of the angels and new environment in general, but they seem to be settling in well. I’m pretty excited to see them grow in their new home. I also bought some new plants, but the fish store had no idea what they were, so if anyone knows I would love to have some info on them. I also set up most of the “scape” in the 10 gallon, so some new fish should be coming soon!! Additionally, I was talking with an employee at my lfs and it sounds like they are interested in purchasing some Java moss from me which is super exciting!! Hopefully they will also buy some other fish I am breeding, but right now I’m just glad to have my foot in the door!

Over the weekend I was inspired by @Schuyler to build some fry trays for my 20L with an airlift system using pvc to fill them. I built a few of them, but unfortunately I was unable to transition from the pvc to airline tubing which is how I wanted to get the water into the trays.

After giving up on an airlift design, I decided to use the pump from an old HOB filter which I retrofitted to pump through airline tubing to get the water into the trays. The water is able to escape through a sponge covered opening similar to what Dean has in his fish room. I cut a piece of sturdy plastic to hold the trays up in the aquarium which is working pretty well so far.

I currently don’t have a lot of fry in the fish room, but I was able to find a bunch of guppy fry and decided to throw a few into the trays with some Java moss and spider wood just to see how they do.
