PineSong
I loved this video so much, I thought others might also enjoy it -- the grooming is something I would not have expected. 5

xXInkedPhoenixX
OMG I LOVE this guy! How cool! I remember as a kid there was a lotto commercial that had a guy who won go to a fancy restaurant where they sold lobster and you picked it from live specimens- he bought all of them and the next scene you see is him at the beach setting them all free. I would totally do that. Now I might keep one for a pet.
Torrey
@PineSong thank you so much! That was incredibly soothing while also being entertaining and educational. Exactly what I needed. 😁
eatyourpeas
That is so cool! Crustaceans seem to love to groom themselves. My Amano shrimp spend a non-trivial amount of time making themselves prim and proper. The Kelp crabs do the same, and Guacamole, the younger one, always puts a new hat and likes to try new decorations on his head. If I could have a large enough tank, a lobster would be a great critter to adopt! Thanks, @PineSong!
CalmedByFish
So cool! I have 2 main thoughts on this. 1) Lobsters must go through a lot of suffering, having their claws bound like that. That's awful. 2) This makes me glad my shrimp are so small.
Maggie
This was great! I love how he did lobster physical therapy to heal his damaged claws. 1
Chris
Really cool video! A lot of the critters we eat from the market are actually temperate (cool-water) species, which makes this a little more difficult. But keeping some of the really large snails you'll find for snail at Asian markets or maybe setting up and a huge beach paludarium for the semi-aquatic crabs you find at the market would be really cool!

PineSong
I'm glad you all enjoyed it as much as I did. On top of the interesting info about lobsters and the heartwarming work to help his claws regain strength, I love when youtubers talk slowly and calmly! 2
CalmedByFish
There's an update on the super cool big shrimpy.
PineSong
I would like him to have a bigger tank, so I'm happy to see that update. So interesting that Leon potties away from his sleeping area and that he is so interested in moving shells around. laritheloud
I love Leon the Lobster. 😭 It reminds me so very much of the one time my parents bought live lobsters to cook when I was a child. I got extremely attached to our lobster and wanted to keep him as a pet. Made me a super sad little girl to cook him. Can't say I've changed much since those days. I still love inverts! PineSong
Another Leon update, including lots of attempts at a minnow trap. As a casual observer, lobster bodies seem so bizarrely complicated, I'd be too afraid to have one as a pet.
Torrey
ORD😍 I am glad he got Leon a bigger tank, and isn't going to give in to people asking for a tank mate for Leon.
Expectorating_Aubergine
But he did give in on the tank mate. He put those little fish in there....

Only briefly. He got the killis last time, thinking that they would provide enrichment, and possibly even food. After observation, he realized that was not happening, and moved them. At the end of the video, when he was reading comments and answering questions, he made some great analogies..

Elquinjena
I found this the other day and started watching and i am fascinated with Leon. The molt one was a great watch and Leon looked so much better after the Molt. Looking forward to more on this series.

Chick-In-Of-TheSea
The molting one blew my mind! That was awesome! Leon's little acoustic guitar theme song gets stuck in my head. I love the soundtrack on the videos, and the humorous, warmhearted commentary by Brady.
