I think I remember that Rocky was there because he had turtles? Did I hallucinate that?

Apparently, Stallone still has (or had until recently) the turtles from the movie, almost 50 years.

NCIS: Los Angeles had a full episode with a plotline surrounding an aquarium. the stocking wasn't great (goldfish with other fish) and there was absolutely some CGI stuff in one scene. But, it was absolutely great to see a real tank (20H) with a proper filter and actually look like a real hobbyist aquarium.

Found a clip.

@nabokovfan87, did the aquarium in the show survive?

In the end of the storyline. Their boss adds a guppy. I won't say what happens, but very fitting. I don't know if it sticks around, I haven't seen the new ones. Fish in NCIS is a common thing. DiNozzo has a bowl of goldfish (bad I know) in honor of his fallen coworkers. They kept the name in the show, which is absolutely cool and the fish have been with the character for 10+ seasons and then we're passed on when he moved. Obviously it might be different fish, in for just the shot, but there is definitely some aquarium love on the staff of those shows.

This thread has definitely got me looking for tanks in TV and movies now.

Watching Men in Black 3 the other day with the kids when I see a familiar face that looks an awful lot like my Amphilophus Sagittae, Casper...

Unfortunately, every single tank in this scene meets with a fairly predictable end, so it's probably safe to assume Casper's brother/sister didn't make it. But, there's almost no water spilled compared to how big the tanks are, so I guess that's a plus?

On the other end of the spectrum, it got me thinking about another "fish tank in a restaurant explodes" scene in a movie which I'm surprised no one has mentioned yet: Mission Impossible, in which agent Ethan Hunt blows up the world's cloudiest fish tank...

...that is filled with an positively ridiculous amount of water...

And if you're fan of the show New Girl, a large (I'm going to say at least a 125), unfiltered and unheated (though, thankfully, empty) tank also meets with an unfortunate end in an apartment on the 4th floor. 😬 Sorry downstairs neighbors...

And how could we forget The Naked Gun???

Man… Ricardo Montalban… great actors are hard to find anymore. That he could play this role, Shakespeare, and Khan (Star Trek II)… one of my favs.

Anyone else a fan of Red Dwarf?

I've seen both scenes on Red Dwarf and Star Trek. The Red Dwarf Scene is my favorite because while I have never revived a fish by banging it on the table, I have revived a Red Tail Shark by repeatedly dipping it in and out of the aquarium.
