I'll have to widdle them down. I've been wanting Nymphaea Micrantha for a long time. Glad I finally found it. It's definitely making the list.

Is there a particular reason you prefer Nymphaea Micrantha over Nymphaea stellata ? After my experience with Nymphaea stellata I'm reluctant to try another lily. Don't get me wrong it was fun at first but over the years it has gotten to be a pia esp in co2 injected environment. I guess i maybe i shouldn't curse it too much since the fishes love the cover but still....

Higher light helps contain them, but yeah pita.

Mmiller2001
Wowsers, the deed is done. Last round of potential plants arriving Thursday, lights in the mail and propagate propagate propagate. In no way is this the potential layout, I just made some space and placed plants real quickly in a semi Dutch form. Just seeing how these plants grow. There's way too many colored plants, too many grass like plants causing similar leaf shapes and placed haphazardly. I even tossed in my coconut shell to calm the Kuhli loaches down. Good luck whittling down the number of plants from 42 -> 24! I see you got rid of the big log, I thought you were keeping it? The java fern is sp. India. I hope it comes through for you, it's a great plant. Eventually, I would suggest mounting all your epiphytes on the back wall. If you can find it, I also recommend trying out eleocharis montevidensis instead of eleocharis vivipara. It doesn't grow the adventitious plantlets on the ends of its leaves so it's a lot easier to maintain.

We both agree it looks better without it. So going to just keep it Dutch versus natural after the AGA. I put all the various Java Ferns in the 20 to hopefully recover so we can use it in the future. Tank looks bigger without the wood to be honest.

Mmiller2001
I finally got around to being less lazy and found out my degassed pH level. The tank is officially at a 1.5 pH drop. The amazing thing is the length and diameter used (Yugang reactor). The second pipe purges the excess CO2 right when it's hitting the 1.5 drop. There's no way I can gas my fish at this point and I see no reason to continue running my CO2 controller. My goal now is to reduce injection rate to reduce or eliminate the purge yet keep the 1.5 drop.Unfortunately, my new lights did not include the hanging kit and I had to buy them separately. So there's a small delay with performance under higher light.

Mmiller2001
First rearrangement done and I was able to reduce species by a whopping 3, then added one 😁. This was just a basic change and is nowhere near Dutch.
