Huge congrats! Definitely well-earned. I wonder what first place looked like. 😅

I do not photograph my white cloud minnows cause they move too much to be in focus, but I had some success.
All the females are super fat. I understand their are egg bound, but I need to feed the fry and the sewellia but not overfeed the females. Any tips? Tank is after a water change, so many bubbles 🙂 And yeah, I can see where I attempted to wash the glass from the outside. Too bad this is only visible after the picture is taken, am I right.
Garras will ofcourse photobomb, and I didnt get to take a picture of the normal color white cloud with the orange fins, he didnt want to 🙂 Papparazi shy I guess
Those are looking spectacular! Try adding sera micron to a smal cup of water and adding that to the aquarium. All the small particles will sink to the bottom much faster and make a small fry- and sewellia friendly bio film that they can feed on.

Ah. I understand! So if you want to have a highly technical scape, visually which layout do you tend to think fits for the space? (i.e. triangle, island, etc.)
Island could work, but it’s a thin tank so maybe more of an amphitheater look with a front island off-center

I dig this style. Choose a long piece of wood, any shape you like and add some simple details. Epiphytes would do well, things that can reach out of the water are a slight added bonus if you want to go that route as well.
It sounds like an awesome project. 🙂I’m liking the sort of sparse idea, but I’m aiming more for an eye-catcher where plants come first and fish second (for a change!). MD Fish Tanks did a really nice one that I’m shooting for.

I have found it pretty useful to use American EBay and pay extra for shipping. Not cheap but I was able to get my hands on a half-decent HOB that way.

Do you import these guys directly?

Schools starting to get the better of me. Hey ho… only 5 more weeks till Xmas! 🎅
Black phantom tetras produced around 3 viable wrigglers, but a lot of fungused eggs. My hypothesis is that the eggs were in the females for so long that they were just sort of infertile anyway. KeepingFishSimple had that problem with his neons so it’s not impossible. Anyway I’m just gonna keep on trying till I get this right! 😵💫
Currently musing about not breeding as much fish as I can and just enjoying my tanks. MD Fish tanks on YouTube is definitely to blame 😂! The downstairs 63 gal definitely needs rescaping and my dad says that he’ll contribute if I can make it look nice… what sort of scape would any of you do with a spare 63 gal long? It’s not very wide - only about 12-15 inches (my brains too fuzzy to do conversions 🧠) so that kinda limits options. @Lizzie Block you only seem to do nano scapes, but what would you do with a larger sized tank?
Also I took the lid off my Endler tank seeing as it was looking pretty tank and my Indian swamp weed is showing some really cool emersed growth I want to encourage.
My sisters want me to get into saltwater. I said it was too expensive and I didn’t know anything. Out of curiosity I had a look for some cheap options (non-existent!) and am sort of on the edge of wether it’s worth a shot or not.
Either way here’s my weekend photo dump. Take care!- 4

Cheers @Kaiju! That's why I started it, so I could share my journey from the start. All started in my tiny room of my old house with a 10 gal rimless that went pear shaped by the end and taught me A LOT of hard lessons. My move was rushed and didn't set up my office/fish room as efficiently as I wanted as like many of us I have MTS and wanted them up NOW! 🤣 That mistake taught me patience. All good things come to those that PLAN AND WAIT. I also have had a lot of help along the way...big shouts to those in here that have assisted(will prob miss some): @nabokovfan87(literally talked me off a ledge the day after I moved into my new house) @Guppysnail @Lennie @Chick-In-Of-TheSea @Fish Folk @Colu @Odd Duck @TheSwissAquarist amongst others...so thanks y'all! But really, if not for @Dean’s Fishroom & @Cory, their YT tutorials(I CANNOT STRESS HOW BENFICIAL THE ACO YT MEMBERSHIP IS...the ted talks alone are worth it) among a couple other YTers like Prime Time Aquatics, MD Tanks, Fish Shop Matt, Sydney's Angels, Steenfott Aquatics, TN Aquatics that have really taught me.
Still a lot to go here in the fish room, but will continue documenting my trials and tribulations so to speak for all to enjoy, but to learn from as well.
NEXT WEEK: RO System install & water containment area. This will be the eventual beginnings of an auto water change system that I will design/install at a later date. I have a professional plumber that will be coming to assist me here so I don't accidentally flood this house! LOL!Until next time!!!
It’s been a pleasure following you through your journey! Way to go!

I expect you could use a cork beer mat if you were desperate, but I expect you could find some on Amazon?

Hi all,
The fame of Aquarium Co-Op has started spreading more and more across Europe recently, and I think that there's been a corresponding surge of new European members on this forum.
Therefore I thought it would be nice to start a thread for us European (and any other continents for that matter) to converse and exchange about tips and tricks to supplement the products and creatures that are available to our American counterparts.
Anyones input is welcome. Have a nice day! 😁

Vibra bites are supposed to be good if you can get them. They look just like bloodworms and act like them when they fall. The fact that I can’t get any where I live is stoppping me from getting any.

Hi,
I just love aquarium co-op, Cory is a guru to me. My problem is that I don't live in the US, I live in Sweden (Nobel prize?). Sweden is a desert when it comes to fish keeping. Sure, there is a society for cichlid enthusiasts but that's about it. I used to keep cichlids but now I'm into puffers and that's almost unheard of. Pea puffers, yes, but the rest (as schoutedeni in my case) is a big "Que?!" I live in a small town, one hour from the capital, and I can't even find live food - not to mention snails. I've had to import the fish (from Germany). It took me a while to find them at all, the same for snails and live food like blood worms. Frozen, they rather starve. They're captive bred so one would think that they'd been used to frozen food, but nope. I'd like to have a thread for us non US citizens. Where to get yadayada. I live in the EU, and we have totally different brands. Sure, there is Germany, but the problem with Germans is that they speak German. I can cope, my German is okay, but I prefer to use English. Us Europeans, let's help each other!
Switzerland isn’t part of the EU, but we do have the same species & med regulations. However, I can get some in when my relatives come to visit from the UK. Otherwise my go-to med is garlic, or salt depending on the need.
Do you want bladder or ramshorn snails? I can send them for free if you cover shipping.
Sounds like Swedens even worse off than my LFS. 🫠Thanks for the mention @Lennie!

My uplift kit came last week. I’m thinking of trying it with my GBR babies.
@Odd Duck how much does it increase suction into the sponge? Think the fry will be ok with it?
Why does this spongee guy make me unreasonably happy?
I so need one of those for my 63 gal when I next change the filter 😎.

Long week of presentations soon to be over!
Baby BNPs have joined the zebra juvies in my 15 gal tank. Plants are loving it, snails less so because I snagged 2 more assassins off a friend. 😈Set up my Black phantoms to spawn last night. I’m so used to failure I’ve almost stopped being pleased that they’ve spawned, but hey… New strategy means new opportunities. The waters closer to 7 because I read that they prefer slightly less acidic water.
Long day, am typing this with my left hand 😵💫

You should have got first place based on fish diversity IMO. Not that I’m biased, but 1st place only had some cardinals.
