Thanks all!
Maintenance is a pain in the butt with only one arm, and siphons are even harder… but my black phantoms are fired up again, so they’re definitely getting a shot.
Btw, I’ve got a nature-loving girl for Secret Santa and am completely stumped on what to get her. Any ideas? 😂

I got this a lot with my tetras & Cories. Meth blue works ok, but really I think the key is regular spawning of the parents to prevent a build-up of infertile eggs in the female. Everyone probably has an opinion on the matter 😅

Bust my arm last weekend skiing. 😢 First Weekend and my pol gets caught on a tree under the snow 🤬. There goes the rest of the season…could it be natures way of telling me to stop off-pisting? 🥲
As you can imagine, I was feeling a bit blue and aquariums/school are kinda tough with one leg. No more WCs for another month and it looks like no more heavy lifting. 😑 Typing is kinda slow without one’s left arm.
At least I had one fun day on the pistes …
Tho I can now take a ton of fish pictures 😅
Have a good one!

Any luck?

How do you take your pics? My camera only tends to focus on my background and completely zaps past my fish.

Have you seen the spawning ‘ring’ that @Lowells Fish Lab uses for his Aphosemions?

I found a baby MTS in the shrimp tank. That means…
it (more likely its parent) survived Prazi pro
& it survived No Planaria
Wow! That stuff is supposed to be fatal to snails.
They’re moving up the food chain. Soon snails will be keeping us humans in glass tanks and feeding Repashy. 😂

wanna make RO water, add salt, and pay waaaaay more money for saltwater fish.
It’s definitely a more exclusive hobby than freshwater, I’ll give you that! Somehow the Swiss do saltwater really well, like there’s no dedicated freshwater LFS within 2 hours train of me, but I know of at least 3 100% saltwater shops, the closest of which is about 20 mins on the bus away.
Anyway, Xmas is around the corner 😁

Brigittae would look great against the plants, and are also cheaper than the others IMO.

How’s pup’s leg doing?
Getting better - he’s loping around but the vet says that it’ll take another 12 weeks until he’s back to normal.

How bigs your cube? My next tank is definitely either gonna be a saltwater one or entirely plant-focused.
Could the temp strata just be infrared reflected off the plants and then dissipated by the water?

New most annoying thing-> tetras laying a ton of eggs and then all of them fungus for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
