If you're worried about plants dying, throw in some Water Sprite, duckweed, or other floating plants.

Most stem plants should be fine, and the swords will melt and grow new leaves over a 1- 2 month period.

Don't worry, if there isn't much algae in your tank, drop in a piece of (well-washed) cucumber in every now and again. Otherwise it'll be fine.

 In my experience, if young fry come into contact with hydra, it can sometimes be fatal. use an algae scrubber while sucking them off the glass so that they can't move to a different spot.

[Angel fish aggression]

Did you buy them as a group when they where young?

I bought a juvenile platinum angel, then 4 months later I added another angel (marbled) to the tank and the marbled one was constantly bullied and  herded into a corner. Really bugs me, I've tried to build up a group for quite some time.

Could be a difference in coloration, but it would be interesting to see if other aquarists have experienced the same problem.
