  1. The tank has been up and running now for about 6 months with the pea puffers. I hit it at least 2 times a week with ez green and its pretty healthy with algae. I was thinking bamboo shrimp also. I will reserch this for a while befor I pull the trigger on buying shrimp for the tank. Thanks for your input.
  2. I think you miss read his post but to give you an answer the bottle is small and you might get 4 tea spoons of bbs out of it...
  3. well then, maybe I should not worry to much about the heat even though I bought a heat lamp the other day......🤣
  4. I'm trying the DIY bottle set up, my issue right now is heating it to the temp of 80 degrees. My fish room is in the basement and it stays cool in the basement.....
  5. What type could I put in a 10 gallon tank with my pea puffrs, even if I could at all? Also what do I feed the shrimp or will they be okay feeding off of the alga and stuff in the tank? The tank is planted pretty heavy, temp is 75, ph stays around 7.3 to 7.6 KH is a 4 and GH is a 11 the last time I checked it
  6. Nice, my 10 has some flame orange snails in it that Im trying to get going......
  7. got a 10 gallon going full of ram horn snails and also my sump system for my 150 is slap full of them..... my little pea puffers have an endless supply of ram horn snails
  8. your cory's will do well in it, I have 18 cory's that love it....
  9. use 5 gal. Elastic Top Paint Strainer that fits over a 5 gallon bucket, makes it so much easier to rinse
  10. Yeap, black diamond is cheap and does very well in a tank.....I will say I don't like the very fine though, I think its the blue bag.
  11. what is the name of this tiny sponge/air system
  12. Fluval Bug Bites for cichlids convict cichlids are omnivores and eat a mix of insects and plant matter to get nutrition
  13. wished I had it, I would put some blue spottted sunfish in it or some rainbow darters in it
  14. Yeah, I'm going to give this daphnia cultra a run. I got the eggs hatched by following the direction they gave and I have now moved them to a 10 gallon tank that I raise ram horn snails in with a sponge filter turned down low.
  15. I got 3 clown placos, and hardly ever see them, never see them on the tank glass. I think 4 inches is their max size....
  16. This is just my exprience with IAL. I have hard water and my KH stays above 4. I use IAL in my 150 gallon cause I like the way the water looks and my cory's, Dojo's, Fire mouth, and Green terror love them. With that said I have no PH swings. I think its like one IAL for every 10 gallons, not sure who came up with that but its what I have read.... I break them up and put them a a glass jar, add boiling water, let sit for a few hours, then dump it into my tank. Maybe someone with a little more insight will jump in and give us both some more info.
