  1. I don't use remineralizers am going to tag @Mmiller2001he has more experience then me when it comes to remineralizing RO water
  2. You if your using pure RO and not remineralizing that will be a problem for your mollies need a minimum kH 180ppm minimum GH 200ppm pH 7.5-8 long term to thrive low KH and GH can cause bent spine due to mineral deficiency hole host of other health issues I would start to remineralizing your RO water
  3. I Forgot I give you my medicated food recipe for some reason I thought you were using some other medicated food getting forgetful in old age
  4. I only keep and breed short fin bristlenose I seen the long fin bristlenose break fins rays tear fins if you use caves that are to small they can damage there fins body rubbing is common occurrence in my bristlenose especially when breeding
  5. I can see a small paler patch on the head that could be caused by an injury or a bacterial infections what I would do is add some Indian almond leaves as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties you might have to add one leaf per gallon to get a beneficial effect you could do a course of kanaplex or maracyn2 if you think it's getting worse
  6. Ick X is effective at treating ich and shouldn't be harmful to your Cory's I would also want to add a small amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 10 gallons as ich causes massive electrolyte lose salt will add back in essential electrolytes you want zero ammonia and nitrites if you detect any ammonia or nitrite do a large water change and add a double dose of prime to help detoxify any ammonia or nitrite test daily till your ammonia or nitrite constantly stays at zero is there something going on with your second batch of pygmy Cory's I would just add some crushed coral to your substrate to gradually raise your KH and GH you will need to add 1 pound of crushed coral per 10 gallons @fishdogs
  7. What I would do is dose both daily add your maracyn and ick X then every 24 HR do 50% water redose ick X and add half a pack of maracyn to keep the medication at a therapeutic level dose the maracyn for 5 days keep treating with ick X for three days after you see the last spots and add small amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 10 gallons as ich causes massive electrolyte loss salt adds back in essential electrolytes only put back in what you take out so if you do a 5 gallon water change put half a table spoon of salt back in as salt only removed though water changes @sonorasage
  8. Yes once a day for 5 days
  9. This isn't my treatment protocol it's something I came while looking at shrimp disease you can dose 1.5ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide per a gallon you can go upto 14.3ml per liter without any adverse effect from what I have read you could start with the lower dose and go from there @Supermassive
  10. Congratulations of your first hastatus fry knowing your lucky you'll have hundreds of them in no time
  11. Looks like over production of the slime coat and saprolegniasa on the tail fin of your Cory its no a true fungal infection it's a water mould recommended treatment is ick X and a broad spectrum antibiotic treatment such as maracyn to prevent any secondary bacterial infection if your going to use aquarium salt i wouldn't go above 1 table spoon for 5 gallon with cory they can be more sensitive to salt over production of the slime coat can be caused by poor water quality a parasitc infection like body or Gill flukes do you use a water dechlorinator when doing water changes as chlorine can cause over production of the slime coat @sonorasage
  12. Yes it 14.3mls a liter I would turn of your filter during treatment and just run an air stone as hydrogen peroxide will kill your benefial bacterial @Supermassive
  13. Pineconing can by a caused a number of things internal bacterial infections organ failure parasitic infections If you have a quarantine tank or a tote you could use to quarantine then I would treat with a higher dose of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 2 gallons salt just remember to only put back in what you take out so if you do a 2 gallon water change put 1 table spoon of salt back in as salt only removed though water changes I would do a full course of Esha 2000 instead of baths and i would add some Indian almond leaves as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties @triss
  14. I would always recommend dissolving salt in a jug or cup of warm water than evenly distribute it across the surface of the tank
  15. Looking at the condition of the fish I don't think it's likely he will recover if he's just laying on the bottom of tank barely breathing he not eating I would consider end of life care humanely euthanizing him with clove oil when you think he has no quality of life it's not a pleasant thing to do sometimes you have to make that decision to end suffering that only a decision you can make you will no when it's time
  16. The fact the it been bulging on one side for over a month and shown no improvement after multiple treatments could be an internal mass more than likely benign or cancerous growth treatment wise there's not much you can do I stop treatment just focus on his quality of life I would put him back in the main it's something that won't affect the other fish and monitor for now if you notice any deterioration give us an update
  17. Am not a fan of long fined bristlenose it's two easy for them to damage there fin
  18. Maracyn2 safe for trumpet snails have long does say to treat for with medicated food you been using @Chick-In-Of-TheSea
  19. 1 pound of crushed coral per 10 gallons mixed into the substrate or you can put it in media bag and add it to a filter
  20. Sorry for your loss everyone in future I would use crushed coral added to your substrate it essential does the same thing as cuttlefish bone I have never had any issues when using it over 20 plus years
  21. I would feed what you usually feed it might take it longer to eat so you want enough food to reach the bottom of tank for it to have time to eat it share @Mr.catfish
  22. am not seeing any Reddening to edges of the fins I would indicate an active infection possible your betta attacking the fins of you Cory's when your no there it looks like something been nipping at the fins I would watch your betta just make sure he not the cause i would add some Indian almond leaves as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties you might have to add one leaf per gallon to get a beneficial effect give an update in 1 week before then if it gets worse @sonorasage
  23. looks like it heading in the right direction hopefully he makes a full recovery @TheDesktopAquarium
  24. What are your water parameters ammonia nitrite nitrate that looks like there shedding the slime coat coming that can be caused by poor water quality parasitc or bacterial infection do you use a water dechlorinator like prime when doing water changes @Ohio FishPlant Dude
  25. Frozen or live blood worms daphnia brine shrimp sinking pellets wafers @Mr.catfish
