  1. It looks like an injury if the Redding got worse it could have developed a secondary bacterial infections if it has a fuzzy appearance it could have developed a secondary fungal infection what I would do is a course of yellow powder that should be nitrofurazone a broad spectrum antibiotic and add aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 2 gallons that will treat fungal and bacterial infections just remember to only put back in what you take out so if you do a 2 gallon water change put 1 table spoon of aquarium back in as salt only removed though water changes you can aquarium salt at most pet shops @EggShappedFish
  2. Good to hear they made a full recovery
  3. With what you described I would treat all the fish with expel p it can take four course of treatment one week apart active ingredient in expel p levamisole can be harmful to snails so I would remove them before treating so you would treat week 1 week 2 week 3 week 4
  4. More crushed coral you use the higher your KH will be so what I would do is add half the usually amount test every couple of days for two weeks then add more if it's not having the desired effect till it gets to the level you want
  5. That just waste your seeing your the transparent shell nothing to worry your KH is definitely to low for guppies and mystery snails what I would do is add some crushed coral to your substrate you will have to add one pound of crushed coral per 10 gallons I think I read a while ago that some iron based fertiliser can be harmful to snails I would do some more research before using it @Myrium
  6. Could have ripped it on the plastic plants they can be sharp or it could have been the start of fin what you KH GH low KH and GH can cause a lot of health issues in liverbears
  7. Dissolve the salt in cup of warm water then evenly distribute it over the surface of the tank you can dose for a 35 gallons to account for wood and rocks
  8. First thing I would do is add no new fish till you have determined the cause of the death and effectively dealt with problem couple of questions did the fish start to show theses symptoms just after a water do you use a water dechlorinator like prime when doing water changes have you notice any sunken belly white stringy poop how many course of expel p have you done on the main tank @GailLaForest
  9. co-op treatment is a preventive treatment so dose following instructions on the box if you have an active infection
  10. If you can quarantine I would and treat with aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 2 gallons and do a course of maracyn just in case there's a bacterial component

What I would do is treat with paracleanse do three courses week 1 week 3 week 5 give an update if your still losing after the second course of paracleanse @Cinnebunsthere not a lot to go on symptom wise the odd random deaths weeks can be a parasitic infection
  12. Occasional flashing I wouldn't be to concerned about with what your describing I would definitely treat with paracleanse it can take 3 full courses of treatment 2 weeks apart so you would treat on week 1 week 3 week 5
  13. With female with red spot near the eye that looks more like an injury the male with a sunken belly could have wasting disease for that you would want to treat with expel p once a week for 4 weeks there could be a couple of things going on such a parasitic infections and aggressively between the male and female that will be stressing them out leading to a reduce immune response I would separate them and move the male to quarantine tank if you have @greentime998

The odd random deaths every couple of weeks can be a caused by a parasitic infection have you notice any rapid breathing hanging out near the surface lethargy flashing spitting food out sunken belly white stringy poop loss of appetite @Cinnebuns
  15. With the cloudy eyes it might be worthwhile doing a course of maracyn active ingredient erythromycin is safe use with African dwarf frogs @Josh D
  16. What I would do is start doing daily water changes and add a double dose of prime to get your ammonia back to zero is it just a spot on the eye or does it have a fuzzy appearance @TaNbULL
  17. I would also include good quality spirulina flake in the wild discus predominantly feed on algae and insect larvae
  18. Yes it used to remove organic chemicals and medication it can also help to reduce odour from your tank
  19. HITH can be linked to poor water quality dietary deficiency Hexamita parasite and the use of active carbon has been linked to HITH the best way to prevent it is to keep stable water parameters feed a varied diet and don't use active carbon @Airborne 82nd
  20. Kanaplex predominantly treats gram negative and some gram positive bacteria
  21. What I would do treat with ick X and add a Small amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallons is safe for most plants you could use a lower dose of salt 1 table spoon for 7 gallons if your concerned about your plants and add an extra air stone during treatment
  22. Looks like ich on the tail fin what I would do is start treating with ick X and aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallons as ich causes massive electrolyte loss and salt will add back in essential electrolytes do a course of maracyn in food feeding a small amount twice a day for 7 days kanaplex isn't very effective in food as very little of the medication is adsorbed by the intestinal tract in this instance maracyn would be a better option and add an extra air stone during treatment @Stef
  23. It treats bacterial fungal and some parasitc infection this is more like a shotgun approach it is more powerful medication if your unsure what your fish is suffering from I have only used it once to treat a bacterial infections with secondary fungal it did work i wouldn't use it to treat a parasitc infection I would only use it treat bacterial infections or fungal you can get same effect by using ick X active ingredient malachite green and kanaplex or maracyn2 which is my preferred choice I only used it as a friend had some to hand i had run out of kanaplex using medication with multiple active ingredient can be very stressful on your fish I think there better treatment options available that just my opinion take it with a pinch of salt @nabokovfan87
  24. Polyguard a more broad spectrum treatment that treats bacterial and fungal as it contains antibiotic I wouldn't recommend using half dose that will lead to antibiotic resistant If there showing no sign of de-stress with a half dose I would up to a full dose and monitor if you notice a reaction do a large water change for this type of fungal infections I usually treat with malachite green active ingredient in ick X and a small amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallons at that level it shouldn't harm your plants @sharkbaithoohah
