  1. Depending of the size of your tank a nice group of black ruby barbs the males get beautiful breeding colours or Dennison barb are a bit larger but stunning both would do well with angelicus loach
  2. I think you will be fine you would be better off getting a young group of EBA and adding them all at the same time that should cut down on aggression instead of gradually add them
  3. If your still seeing symptoms after the Frist full course of treatment do a large water change and do another full course following the treatment schedule
  4. I just use a plants weights to stop it floating
  5. I only boil sweet potato and lettuce and spinach I have never boil zucchini
  6. If you Cory's are happy and breeding I wouldn't mess with water parameters
  7. I tried zucchini but my bristlenose like cucumber a lot better
  8. Welcome to the forum nice tank what fish have you ordered
  9. The reason you do a water change after 24hr is to remove the dead parasites and some of the eggs when gravel vaccing and levamisole can be harmful to some species of snails causing them to slow down I have found 24hr treatment repeated 3 times is effective at dealing with internal parasites in rare case you will have to do a fourth course
  10. Hikari sinking wafers repashy bottom scatcher hikari micro pellets frozen blood worms and brine shrimp
  11. They are more than likely in your filter what I would do is leave your tank as it is and treat with Esha ndx once a week for 3 weeks if you see improvement then I would follow up with a fourth course that will take care of any of the parasite that hatch in-between treatments and doesn't require you to bin your plants
  12. I think what your feeding him is fine You could also add vitachem to his food and feed blood worms twice a week as they are higher in protein to help build him up
  13. It a difficult one after treating with kanaplex and jungal fungas clear fizz tabs haven't seen any significant improvement I would finish the course of maracyn2 if you see no improvement then i would treat with aqua-cipro 500mg it powerful antibiotic that used in a bath for 1hr every day for 5- 7 days it treats gram positive and gram negative bacterial infections
  14. Nitrofurazone can damage plants I have used it and not notice any significant problems with my plants after using it
  15. If you dosing with Esha ndx active ingredient is levamisole I would do three courses of treatment 1 week apart that the best way to treat with levamisole
  16. Sterilising your filter will kill your benefial bacterial theirs no way around it if you have another tank were you can cycle some filter media to put back in your filter once everything is cleaned is the best option
  17. With white patches on your red eyed tetra as well I would say looks like Columnaris I start treating with kanaplex and jungal fungas clear fizz tabs straight away @Beardedbillygoat1975
  18. Possible fungus on lip and injury on pectoral fin I would treat with ick x and maracyn together that will cover all bases
  19. I would keep his tank at 80F it's more likely is a bacterial infection
  20. I would do 25% water change and run carbon for 24hr if you don't have carbon I would do a 50% water change worst case scenario cross that bridge when you come to it hopefully kanaplex will do the trick
  21. Colu

    Fish Tank Crash

If you have your ammonia down to zero it's more than likely something else is going on I would do a course of maracyn and keep treating with salt will also treat fungal infections
  22. I would start adding more variety into his diet that should help if it's dietary I can't say for sure that he doesn't have anything else going on loss of colour can Also because by stress water quality or disease their a number of things to consider
  23. As @Odd Duckpoint out it could be diet related if your only feed blood worms or its possible it old age as you have had him 3.5 years he was probably six months when you go him he could be closer to 4 life expectancy is 4-5 years for pea puffers
  24. That this point all you can do is try and get him to eat adding medication now will probably be to much for him to handle in his weaken state if you think he's suffering you can use clove oil to humanly euthanize
