  1. Only when breeding can they get aggressive they are shy and should be kept in groups of 8 or more from what I have read
  2. Active ingredient in jungal ick clear is Victoria green and acriflavin
  3. If your treating the water column with kanaplex recommend only doing two course of treatment back to back as it a powerful medication I would add kanaplex for no more than 10 days that should take care of any remaining infection
  4. I think mid water fish would be more of a target for their aggression hopefully your loach will be fine long term
  5. I can't pick one species but my favourites are catfish lots different types something for everyone from orange Lazer Cory's green phantom plecos are stunning ninja wood cats
  6. I remember seeing some a few years back very aggressive highly territorial and predatory
  7. It's calcium buildup I use distilled white vinegar to remove it from my lid
  8. Looks great so far so many great species of loach to choose from love biotopes setups so much better for the fish and they look great
  9. Have you tested the tap water for pH and kH if you leave it in a bucket with an air stone for 24hr you will get a more accurate reading for your pH if your tap water has a high kH and pH doing more water changes will raise your pH
  10. I agree with @H.K.LutermanFrist check your ammonia and nitirte before anything else just because this fish is the only one showing symptoms doesn't it not a water quality as he could be the weakest individual in the group
  11. The reddening of the tail can because by ammonia have for check for it I have kept my comet for over 12 years I have never had any issues related to pH your more likely to have problems trying to alter your pH with chemical water treatments also do you use a water dechlorinator like prime when doing water changes at certain times of the year they flush the pipes with high levels of chloramines unless your testing before every water change you could miss it that can cause reddening
  12. Frozen brine shrimp daphnia Cyclops are good alternative to blood worms
  13. Theirs a couple of thing it could be a tumor viral or bacterial infection either way he's not looking good what I would do is treat with kanaplex in food and keep adding the salt and almond leaves the antibiotic will help provent any secondary infection fight any possible bacterial infection
  14. I have kept Oscars but I haven't kept puffers I am not sure about that combination theirs a lot of variable such as the the individual Oscar or puffer sometimes they can be territorial or you can just get an aggressive fish
  15. What I would do is change the layout then reintroduce your Betta that should help reduce territorial aggression
  16. Do you have plants and wood to provide cover for the tetra and break up lines of sight so they can keep away from your betta

It's possible the mystery snails you have added are absorbing most of the minerals in your water lowing your kH
  19. That looks like a congo spotted puffer maybe someone with more experience with puffer can chip in like @mountaintoppufferkeeper

That on the low side for guppies lack of minerals can lead to shimmies bent spine's and other health problems in guppies I would add some crushed coral in a media bag to your filter that will raise your kH and pH I would add 1lb of crushed coral

What your kH at if it low your pH will drop due lack of kH
