  1. As you have ammonia daily 50% water changes and add prime to detoxify any ammonia I would get a test kit for kH as low kH will affect livebearers due to lack of minerals in the water
  2. Shimmies are usually bought on by lack of minerals I would test your water parameters just in case anything off and leave the tank empty for 4 weeks most pathogens and parasites won't survive for longer than 4 weeks with out an intermediate host
  3. Have any of your fish developed a sunken belly White stringy poop flashing rapid breathing
  4. Can you take a picture of the sick fish and what are your water parameters
  5. Colu

    Fuzzy spot

I would add an extra air stone and a small amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallons at that level it shouldn't harm your plants and it aids Gill function and add essential electrolytes till your ick x and maracyn arrive
  6. A little information would be helpful what are your water parameters are they eating ok
  7. What I would do is Qarantine and treat with maracyn2 active ingredient is minocycline that has proven effective at sinking some types of lumps i would add to food it's more effective I use 1 quarter of a packet of maracyn2 1 table spoon of pellets 1 scoop of seachems focus 1 cap of seachems garlic guard a few drops of water mix well and feed a small amount twice daily for 7 days store any leftover medicated food in the fridge
  8. White poop can poop with no food in it just mucus lining it doesn't necessarily mean they have internal parasites ammonia can also cause flashing as it irritates the Gills
  9. Ramshorn snails eat algae decaying plant matter and leftover food I would keep them great part of the clean up crew
  10. Question you have to ask doe's your fish like watching your cat
  11. You can use ick x and Expel p together they don't have any negative interaction between the two medication am not sure about maracyn and Expel p if your still seeing flashing after after 4 course of paracleanse and two courses Expel p something else that your not testing for could be irritating their Gills do you use a dechlorinator like prime when doing water changes as chlorine can irritate and burn Gill's also actived carbon dust can also so cause some fish to flash
  12. Nice tanks I have use Manzanita wood or bogwood I haven't foraged for wood
  13. It could be breeding aggression are they male and female or their sorting out the pecking order after moving to a bigger tank
  14. I would add an extra air stone as higher temperatures will mean theirs less desolved oxygen in the tank and higher levels of desolved oxygen have been proven to aid in a fish's recovery
  15. Frist off I would do small daily water changes and add prime to detoxify any ammonia as that's more than likely the cause and monitor
  16. If Popeye affecting both eyes it's more than likely caused by a bacterial infection I would add kanaplex to his food it's more effective and add some Aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 2 gallons that will help with any possible fluid buildup in the eyes that can causes the swelling and will treat any possible fungal infection and add some Indian almond as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties you need to add 1 leaf per gallon to get a beneficial effect
  17. The plant on the left is a Javan ferns not sure about the other
  18. Good to hear he's recovering
  19. He not looking good what I would do is add Indian almond leaves 1 leaf per gallon as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties and I would would add kanaplex to his food it's more effective cloudy eyes are usually caused by poor water quality or an injury I would test your water parameters just in case something off if you don't solve the root cause he won't get any better what are you feeding him what temperature is his tank as to low a temperature will effect Bettas immune system they do best at 80-82F long term @Bunninose83
  20. Hopefully he makes a full recovery
  21. I would Qarantine and treat almond leaves don't have much of an effect on your pH in larger volume of water you could also add a small amount of aquarium salt just increase theirs any fluid buildup in the eye
  22. It could still due to lack of minerals I think getting your kH up will solve most of the problems your fish are having now you have your have gotten your nitrates down
  23. When it's in one one eye it's usually caused by an injury what I would do is add some Indian almond leaves as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties if you notice no improvement after a couple of day or its getting worse then I would treat with kanaplex in food feed a small amount twice a day for 7 days
