  1. Isopods are always great for this type of project, and I also keep ants in vivariums/paludariums and have had great success so far! Ants aren't for everyone but if you love bugs like me, you might want to give it a shot! Stores: https://www.statesideants.com/ for US https://special-ants.store/ for EU https://www.antshq.co.uk/ for UK
  2. I don't have a lot of experience with corys (none at all, in fact 😅😅😅) but this has happened to my Zebra Danios.
  3. Hi! I've been playing with the idea of setting up a line breeding tank for my Endler's livebearers. I need suggestions because I absolutely suck at setting up tanks. What size do you recommend? Should I add tannins? Should I use a sponge filter, or something else? Please help
  4. That sounds really cool! Setting up a fish breeding business has always been a dream of mine, and I've finally been able to make it a reality. I wish you two all the good luck in the world.
  5. Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Moritz Simmeth, and I got my first fish tank when I was five years old, a small 50l aquarium with a few plants and like three guppies. Those guppies then bred, and somehow I got a bunch more tanks. Now I'm fifteen years old and the only ornamental fish breeder on my home island mallorca. I breed four different species of fish: Guppies, Endler's livebearers, zebra danios and Sterbai Corydoras. Currently, I own three aquariums, one saltwater and two freshwater, as well as a few repurposed jugs I use to spawn my danios. I spawn my Corys in buckets. I let the guppies and endler's breed in the two community tanks I own and then pull out the fry to put them in breeder boxes. It's not ideal, but it's the best I can currently afford and I am trying to progressively improve it. I'm also looking into setting up a breeding system for honey gouramis or dwarf gouramis, so if anyone could give me tips on how to do that, I would really appreciate it! Greetings from a piece of rock overflowing with german tourists i.e Mallorca, Spain.
  6. Ok, thanks! And would it be plausible to breed neocaridina shrimp in the same tank as the endlers_
  7. This looks really great! How many tanks do you have? And how much did it cost to set up? I'm curious as I'm currently setting up a fish breeding business myself.
  8. Hi everyone, I wanted to ask: Should I put tannins in my Common Endler's Livebearer line breeding tank? I've never used tannins before so I have no idea wether or not to use them in this situation 😅. I'm currently breeding the Endler's livebearers ina community tank, but I want to separate them out in order to be able to properly line-breed them.
