Hello everyone, I need a little help with my new betta .I received him in the mail yesterday , he was lost and in transit 7 days. He was packaged well but I am sure this is not the original fish I ordered. My real concern is the patch of white scales on his back they're raised up, and look like some kind of growth. Bettas' are not really my expertise. I've had a couple of them in the past however, I have never seen this. He's in the quarantine tank I set up over a week ago with almond leaves, yes gravel and silk plants. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I set up a quarantine tank for my new betta fish that should arrive tomorrow. My goal tomorrow is to paint my 40 g breeder.

I currently have, a 5g flex planted shrimp, and white cloud minnows, 6.8 gallon cube for my alien betta, and I have just purchased a 40 gallon breeder I am setting up for a planted pearl gourami tank.

Oh nice we are doing and entire house remodel and downsizing. My husband promised me a 125 when we move if I got rid of my three tanks. It was a sad day but I am already planning it out very similar to yours. I had a matten corner filter in my 75 and loved it! I would love to see your updates! So I of course can live vicariously through you.

I have done both, they turned out to be a nice snack. I would stick with anubias or crinum. Make sure they are well anchored.
