Taco Playz
Do you guys know what most pet stores call peppered cories I was planing on getting a group of them for my 29 gallon aquarium. I was going to call them tommorow to see if they had any but I know for a fact that they don’t call them peppered cories.

Maggie
Here they are corydoras paleatus. I think in different locales they are different species.
Andy's Fish Den
Around my area and others I've been, the ones called peppered or salt and pepper corys are the paleatus species.
Larrimore
My local Petco has them listed as punctatus. But, looking at them, I swear they’re paleatus.

GoDawgsGo
Bumping an old thread hoping for ID assistance. Local Petco had these listed as punctatus, but they look like peppered to me. Want to get more or the same when I can find some since they only had 4. TIA. I have a 75g. What size school makes them happy? 6? 9? 12?
lewk
Peppered Cory is unfortunately used for a few different varieties. One of them is Paleatus, which I think this could be. Paleatus Corydoras are also sometimes called Blue Leopards - because in certain lights they seems to have a blue sheen. If that makes sense, I would say that's what they are. I have some but mine are HiFin so I'm hesitant to say that they're 100% the same.
GoDawgsGo
Thanks. I'm just hoping Petco gets some more in soon that look the exact same.

All the different types of corydora I’ve kept prefer much larger groups. I find 12 is the minimum number to get their full behaviors to really shine. They seem to think the more the merrier.

Hoping to get at least 5 more or 8 more for either 9 or 12 total.
