I guess I’ve been looking in the wrong spots for my shrimp culls. I should have been looking up high. This guy found the hornwort.

Kratos is on the move. Check out those antennae! I never saw him stretch them out when he lived with Geppetto.

Nibbles carefully balancing.

This little girl may be sick? I think I remember seeing her in this same spot and pose yesterday. Everyone else is cruising around. Parameters look good, with nitrates at a 10.

(I was not able to clean the glass there, as I didn’t want to move her.)

Actually, she may be the same snail that had the Snello on her head yesterday.

She is just over year old I think. I allow them to remain in the tank as long as they are moving. Sometimes it takes a month or more before their time with me ends. Sometimes only a few days.
I equate the slowly not moving at this age to arthritis. In no way similar but the slowing and creaking of aging.
Im sorry your girl is slowing.

That’s a bummer. Everyone else is doing their vacuuming so I don’t think it is a “tank problem”. If I qt her I can do a catappa treatment. Not sure if that would benefit her or not. Perhaps the stress of being moved may not be ideal.

Found Amethyst on her back this morning. That always makes me nervous. Did the sniff test and the [gentle] poke test. Both ok, seems to be some tension in the flesh. Placed her back upright and after a few minutes I saw a feeler come out and slowly wave around. But she didn’t open up. Then a short while after that she was on her back again and another snail was near her. I think she got knocked over and didn’t have the energy to right herself. 😔

This came up again on another thread. Seen it before, but I don’t pay that much attention to it. I just post random pictures of shrimp and say, this is interesting, this is different, lol.  I’m just the casual shrimpkeeper.

Based on my offspring, my Heinz 57 varieties, I may not have started out with ANY blue dream shrimp. I believe I started out with deep blue neo shrimp. (You guys probably already knew that. Heh.)

I love how your shrimp shoot different beautiful colors. Great shrimp to trigger MTS.

You can literally start your own color lines all the time 😄

I used to not like blues. You made me grown into them, now I like them
