I rarely ever did any screen time, until the pandemic. I would look up a question, find the most recommended answer, and then look for peer-reviewed research to validate or invalidate the information. 🤷♂️ I became a member when the members only talks were announced. I watched a lot of Cory's old livestreams while my baby was sleeping on me (summer 2020) and I definitely saw care guides some time before that. I was part of a goldfish forum many years ago (in dial up days!) when I was a goldfish keeper. When I decided to try a planted tank in spring of 2021, I went looking for a planted tank forum. So glad I found it because I'm not as sciencey as I should be and I needed an approach that was more like gardening is for me--plant this, see what happens, then plant more of it or pull it out and try something else--without expecting me to be very precise or disciplined. For me the youtube channel and blog have been 2 of my go to sources for info on aquarium keeping. I quickly pored through the videos and saw what an incredible resource Cory is. I placed my first online order January 2019, a bottle of Easy Green. I've never looked back.
