  1. The website I listed has a breakdown of each pack they sell so it could give you an idea on the quantity of each to get in regards to your tank size. The one I was looking to get has 31 fish in total with each school having 9 total.
  2. Check out liveaquaria.com as they have put together some real nice value packs with gourami's and they have them separated by gallon size. Unfortunately they are all sold out at the moment though
  3. Same. At the moment I only have one plant that's root based so I just put 2 tabs around that one
  4. I tried but they must have had serious suction skills to get it started because it is that long LOL I've never had an issue on previous tanks. Suck starting it, now that's funny.
  5. Done & done. I just wonder how the previous owner even used it.
  6. I have a 27g tank that I bought and it came with an extremely long gravel cleaner that I cannot get the suction to start. Any advice? I'm thinking of cutting it down to a shorter length.
  7. I'm debating on adding more tabs as tomorrow's the weekly Easy Green dosage. I did end up trimming a decent amount
  8. Swords will be my next plant along with Frogbit! I read that tip elsewhere on here but luckily for me the tabs never popped up. I have 40lbs of sand in a 27g so they're buried a few inches in
  9. Haha. Do you have gravel or sand? I have sand but I never saw the nutrients break through,
  10. Thanks. I'll see how they are today when I get home & go from there with the trimming. I was able to get my water tested during lunch and pH is a lil high at 7.6-7.8 but Ammonia was at .5 so I'm getting there
  11. Well, unfortunately all 3 are now turning brown in some areas. Any tips?
  12. These were bought locally. I will definitely cut it off when I get home today, don't want to let it ruin anything else Thank you
  13. So don't do anything unless it becomes bare? One step did break lose soon after I planted them but I'm letting it float around up top
  14. 1 of the wisteria's I bought Thursday is turning brown. I'm using both easy green and the root tabs. First experience with live plants so any help is appreciated. I wasn't able to get the water tested last week but the week prior was 6.6 ph and ammonia high at 1.4
  15. Awesome, thanks for the response. I went to the store during my lunch and bought 2 wisteria's and 1 sprite. I added 5 tabs between the 3. The real fun or headache begins lol
  16. How many tabs have you added? I'm going today during my lunch to buy a sword and wisteria myself, probably a water sprite too.
  17. Hahahaha that's funny, yea I got a little lazy there lol. Alright I think I'll start off with 2 tabs for each one and go from there Thanks a lot for your help
  18. Maybe 1-2 tabs for each plant? I don't think the place I'm going to has any crypts so I'm most likely buying just the swords to start with in terms of plants that need the tabs I think I'm going to buy 1 sword, 1 sprite, 1 wisteria and 1 anubias.
  19. Great, thanks for the links. So it seems like only 2 of the plants on my list will actually require the tabs, Amazon swords and Cryptocoryne lutea/wendtii
  20. More great info. I had a feeling I should get the plants before the fish but just wanted to make sure. I do have 2 feeders & 2 guppies in there to help with the cycle but I will focus on the plants now so I will go ahead and buy a few this weekend. How many tabs should I add also? I read the directions where it states every 5-6 inches, my tanks dimensions are 20x18x20 I definitely need a test kit as well. Thank you
  21. Yes it does, a whole lot so I appreciate it. I'm glad I find out this info now before potentially wasting the Easy Green and tabs. I had my water tested last Saturday and the ph was at 6.6 & ammonia at 1.4 so I have work to do Too soon to buy the plants?
  22. Same, I boiled it for a total of more than a hours worth and still nothing so I just gave up, it's too big too let it float imo. The other pieces sank no problem with about 10 minutes of boiling so I plan on buying more of the same as I like really like the spider look
  23. Thanks! It's a 3pc set from Tfwadmx on Amazon. The driftwood on top was from my last tank but it won't sink anymore so I actually threw it into the woods lol Basically anything low light but I'm really liking Amazon swords, java fern & moss, water sprite/wisteria and hornwort. Going for the Amazon river look
