  1. You could add some crushed coral to help raise your KH and GH you would want to add one pound of crushed coral per 10 gallons to the substrate or in a media bag in your filter @Guupy42
  2. It could be a bacterial infections api general cure isn't effective at treating columnaris one of the active ingredient metronidazole does treat aeromonas that a gram negative bacteria most effective treatment for columnaris i have is kanaplex and jungal fungus clear fizz tabs containing nitrofurazone following this treatment plan fry are more sensitive to medication so I would a course of kanaplex and add some Indian almond leaves as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties you might have to add one leaf per gallon to get a beneficial effect keep a close eye of your water parameters and add an extra air stone during treatment@Zeaqua
  3. Given the length of time and and fact he hasn't responded to treatment it could be organ failure causing the pineconing unfortunately if that the case the outcome isn't good you could do the last week of metroplex to honest I don't think that will make much of difference at this point
  4. Is the white spot on a fin ray if it is it could be a callus that's formed on a broken fin ray doesn't look like it has a fuzzy appearance what i would do is add some Indian almond leaves and a small amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallons

    Red Rainbow

Spitting food out and loss of appetite can be a sign of a parasitic infection another possibilities is it's colour change is down to nerve damage though it swimming in to something in the tank that very common in rainbow fish if you can get some better picture maybe turn off the air stone when taking the picture
  6. Am not sure if that level of hydrogen peroxide would be safe for amano as there different species what might be safe for your cherry shrimp might be harmful to your amano I would quarantine any cherry shrimp showing symptoms and treat especially if there stressed by the the lower dose of hydrogen peroxide

    Red Rainbow

Are there any spots on the fish or are is it all all bubbles in the picture any rapid breathing hanging out near the surface lethargy flashing spitting food out @RyanR
  8. With spitting out food lethargy that can be a sign wasting disease I can't say for sure that's the causes if they already weak when you got them and they were getting out competed for food that would also make then weak and cause a reduced feeding response if it were wasting disease you would want to treat with expel p active ingredient levamisole once a week for 4 weeks what I would do is feed small amount of food three to four times a day to gradually build them up if you notice no improvement or they get worse then I would treat with expel p
  9. Methylene blue and salt at that concentration shouldn't have a negative effect on angel fish I don't recommend preventive treatment for ich if your fish don't have any visible ich it's just a waste of medication and is unnecessary stressful to the fish exposing them to medication when they have been put in a new tank if you have individual that were already weak the medication can push them over the edge
  10. There's not a lot to go on sound like there becoming weak that could be to illness lack of food can you post some pictures of the angels were they thin when you got them did they have a sunken belly any rapid breathing hanging out near the surface spitting food out flashing white stringy poop @Gliderzz
  11. For some reason I thought it was more shrimp affected if salt baths don't work I would try treating in your quarantine tank with a higher dose of hydrogen peroxide 3ml per gallon other than that there's not a lot else treatment wise i could recommend

    Open wound

Looks like an abscess that's ruptured what what I would do is keep stable water parameters add a small amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallons the salt will aid Gill function and add essential electrolytes just remember to only put back in what you take out so if you do a 5 gallon water change put 1 table spoon of aquarium salt back in as salt only removed though water changes and do course of maracyn2 to help prevent any secondary bacterial infections add an extra air stone while treating @Ramonmarket
  13. Is it just the one shrimp with green fungus now
  14. You two options one use maracyn2 or API fin and body cure or use kanaplex and jungal fungus clear fizz tabs following this treatment plan that will harm your shrimp
  15. Salt at that level will kill your plants what I would do is treat with ick X and a smaller amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 10 gallons as ich causes massive electrolyte loss and salt will add back in essential electrolytes
  16. Dropsy can be caused by a number of things such as organ failure parasitic or bacterial infection The most effective treatment I have found for dropsy is aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 2 gallons that will help reduce fluid buildup causing the pineconing dose the tank with kanaplex that will treat any possible internal bacterial infection and metroplex in food feeding a small amount twice a day for upto 3 weeks @Skyler

    Worms!

The medication paralyzes the worms making it easy for the fish two expel them it doesn't kill the eggs that why it requires multiple treatments spread over 4 weeks

    Paracleanse

Cory's method of using paracleanse is as a prevent treatment if your having an active infection you would want to treat following the instructions on the box and do three full courses of treatment two weeks apart so you would treat on week 1 week 3 week 5 @Nicholasp
  19. I can see some minor damage . flukes causes red spots on your fish over production of the slime coat rapid breathing flashing the Gill's will become swollen or pale if it were flukes you would want to do three full courses of paracleanse two weeks apart so treat on week 1 week 3 week 5 @Hannahblue45
  20. Could be columnaris so you would want to start treating as soon as possible treatment I would usually recommend is kanaplex and jungal fungus clear fizz tabs containing nitrofurazone these medication are harmful to shrimp columnaris spreads more quickly at temperatures over 75 I would lower temperature to 75
  21. Looks like a growth in the muscle tissue possible a cyst it could also be a benign or cancerous growth if you have quarantine tank I would more it and treat with maracyn2 active ingredient minocycline also has anti-inflammatory properties and aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 2 gallons just remember to only put back in what you take out so if you do a 2 gallon water change put 1 table spoon of salt back in as salt only removed though water changes if after a week there's no improvement more than a cancerous or benign growth there's not a lot treatment wise I could recommend for that other than monitor
  22. As you have shrimp what I would do is start treating with maracyn2 or API fin and body cure both are shrimp safe which ever one is more readily available do two courses course back to back and add a small amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallon salt will aid Gill function and add essential electrolytes and add an extra air stone during treatment
  23. Possible swim bladder issues with what your describing for that you would want to do Epsom salt baths 1 table spoon for 1 gallon for no more then 15 minutes for 5 days as Epsom salt acts as a muscle relaxant to relieve pressure on the swim bladder
  24. A little more information would be helpful what are your water parameters ammonia nitrite nitrate pH KH GH temperature what symptoms are you seeing can you post picture of the Sick fish
  25. It's sound like you've had couple of things going on a parasitc infection with being lethargic sunken belly that can also weaken there immune system leading to secondary bacterial infections what I would do is @Odd Ducktreatment protocol for parasitic infections you can use paracleanse active ingredient praziquantel and metronidazole and expel p active ingredient levamisole I wouldn't recommend Melafix for anything serious it more of mild antiseptic treatment @Sondra Bradshaw
