  1. I don't typically treat fish in quarantine unless they are showing any symptoms I usually just monitor for 4 weeks if they are wild caught or predominantly eat live foods then I would treat them for parasites as snails are the intermediate host of a number of parasites
  2. With what going on i would water change out the medication monitor them for a week make sure there eating ok and putting on weight as most puffer are wild caught I would follow up with paracleanse doing two course of paracleanse two weeks a part to deal any potential parasites I would also add an extra air stone and a small amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallons that will aid Gill function and add essential electrolytes
  3. the only other thing I can think of that cause black marks on fish is ammonia or black spot disease I don't think it either of them it looks more like a genetic mutation
  4. Dose the jungle fungus clear fizz tab's based on water volume if your treating a 10 gallon tank add 1 table of jungle fungus on day 3 25% water change add 1 fizz tab and one scoop of kanaplex per 10 gallons on day 4 add 1 fizz tab per 10gallons and on day 5 25% water change add 1 fizz tab and 1 scoop of kanaplex per 10 gallons
  5. What I would do is gradually up the temperature to 82 that will speed up the life cycle of ich treat with ick x for 3 days after you see the last spots I would also add a small amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallons that will aid Gill function and add essential electrolytes as ich causes massive electrolyte loss @DaniV
  6. Hopefully extra water changes and double dose of water conditioner will do the trick
  7. With what your describing it's more than likely chorine or some other contaminate got into the tank I would test your tap water for chorine then do another water change
  8. I keep ick x Expel p paracleanse kanaplex and Jungle fungus clear fizz tab's and aquarium salt and seachems focus and garlic guard to use when making medicated food these will treat most commonly encountered parasites and bacteria disease @Cinnebuns
  9. If you see any other symptoms such as hanging at the surface listlessness sunken belly spitting food out flashing then I would treat with general cure
  10. Ick x active ingredient is Malachite green you can still use it to treat eggs to stop them getting fungus
  11. Possiblity different times of the year water company will flush the pipes so you could have under dosed your water dechlorinator leading to the symptoms your seeing something else could be going such as parasitic infection or bacterial infection with the deaths of your Cory's have your added anything new to the tank recently that could have bought in disease such as plants new fish
  12. Rapid breathing can be caused by low levels of desolve oxygen I would add and extra air stone when you did a water change did you use a water dechlorinator like prime
  13. What I would do is give them a couple of days to acclimate to their new surrounding and the colour should start to come back just need to give them more time
  14. What I would do is leave the fish were it is as the fins are starting to improve and monitor moving her might cause more stress than leaving her we're she is
  15. Looks like swim bladder could have been damage during shipping it can be caused by your fish over eating and the stomach putting pressure on the swim bladder you have a couple of options wait if it's injured it can get better over time or fast for a couple of days or you can do Epsom salt baths 1 table for 2 gallons for no more than 15 minutes for a couple of days as Epsom salt acts as a muscle relaxant to relieve pressure on the swim bladder @jwcarlson
  16. fin rot is very unlikely to spread if you have dealt with the underlying causes such as poor water quality stress fin nipping I wouldn't worry about it spreading to your other fish @nabokovfan87
  17. Not I problem in some cases you will want to do a second course of kanaplex and Jungle fungus clear fizz if your not seeing much improvement after the fish course of treatment
  18. As @nabokovfan87recommend Indian almond leaves are very beneficial to Betta's as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties
  19. What I would do is put her in a breeder box add a small amount of aquarium salt 1 table for 5 gallons that will aid Gill function and add essential electrolytes she could be stunned by swimming into something in the tank and might need some time to recover and I would also add an extra air stone @TMartins
  20. From what I have read the consensus is that stress coat does very little to help improve the slim coat of your fish and aid in recovery
  21. I have a x1000 microscope I haven't used the clip on phone microscope from what I have read they should be fine for what you need it for
