Added 5 bronze corys to the herd (now 9 total). They are super small, maybe 1/4 the adults size. I was expecting them to all group up in their giant (relatively) new tank, but they seem totally content to bumble about on their own. It is heavily planted so i assume they just feel safe.  They appear to visit the surface for air gulps WAY less than the adults. 

Realized the adults are over 7 years old! They always seem super happy socializing but have never bred that i know. 

There are fancier corys of course, but i love the metallic sheen they have in the right light.

Picked up a honey gourami and tiny blue mystery snail to add to the 29g community tank whilst on my way home from a football game. The honey is definitely a female but I’m hoping I’ll still get some nice orange color out of her. Exciting times!

Helped to build a 55 gallon stand. The original stand was pretty rotten and no longer trustworthy.  This one might be a bit overkill, but it will support the aquarium without a problem. Will be putting some shiplap on it to make it look better soon.
